  1. they didnt get installed because i still have to order two new ones. my old ones took a crap on me. im not driving the truck its in the paint booth right now. so thats why i havent really jumped on gettting the front o2's yet.
  2. another choice just to keep in mind is the dynomax bullet. i had a flowmaster on my truck before and the drone was insane in the cab and pretty loud at idle. so i got the dynomax bullet and its quiter at idle but insane at WOT. There on jegs for 40 bucks. there a single in single out muffler that is straight threw. not raspy and also has a nice rumble to it.
  3. so me and my buddy's in autobody class got my long tubes on yesterday btw was a pain in my:censor: ! lol and got the pcm back from justin at black bear so i couldnt wait to fire it up even tho i dont have my front o2's yet. so i did and boom fired right up and to my suprise my truck isnt throwing a code for the front o2's? i know justin tuned it for long tubes and no cats but i figured by my front o2's not being plugged up it would throw a code. runs fine and i drove it outta the shop to power wash it to get it ready for paint and it seemed fine? would the front ones not hooked up make the truck run bad? cuz my understanding was front o2's not hooked up = bad air/fuel ratio any help is appreciated guys Thanks, Mike

  5. thanks for all the info guys. i figured out my problem. the front o2's need to be plugged back in and the rear o2's dont matter
  6. i have the front o2s put in place in the headers. but do they need to be plugged back in? like i stuck them in there just to plug the holes in the headers and cut the wires so they wud fit.
  7. hey guys just got my long tubes on. and getting it tuned for no cats.. do i just put the o2 sensors in the holes on the headers and not plug them in? or will it run like crap even tho its tuned for no cats? Need Help fast. Thanks, Mike

  9. yeah thats what i did to my stock one. cut i big ass hole in the bottom and took the metal plate under it out.. and yeah im the same way man just wanna clean up the compartment for more room

  12. i know this has proly been posted a thousand times, but i need to know asap please. what are your thoughts on a spectre cold air intake for a 5.3 vortec with custom tune, long tubes, no cats and shift kit with servos? is other high priced intakes that much better? Thanks, Mike

  14. i can get ahold of a whipple supercharger for my 5.3 vortec for 1200 bucks. with all hardware.. whats the supporting mods gonna be? i know ill have to beef up the tranny and stuff but what all would i need? Thanks, any help is apprciated:blink:
  15. hey guys im stuck between 3 different cold air intakes. and this one came across at jegs.com Its called a vararam king cobra ram air intake? it brings air in from the grille and if u take ur headlight out it gets more airflow. i need help deciding if this is worth the money or not or if it actually works. the other two intakes are the K&N 57 series, and the volant with ram air tube. any help is appreciated!
  16. so my dad went to the lake with his truck... well some crazy dogs scratched up his front bumper pretty bad.. so my friend takes his truck friday mornin to school so he can start taking off the front bumper to fix it for my dad. so we decided to do a 30 roll. 3 honks boom we took off and i pulled 1.5 trucks on him... we did that 2 more times and the same result.. so afterschool i wanted to see what my truck did against it off the line. i knew i would get killed cuz im rear wheel drive and i spin like crazy off the line. we both take off and i spin for atleast a good 40-60 ft. then hook and my friend in the ss is about 2-3 trucks ahead. at about 75 i started catching him and at 95 i blew past him and keep pulling. end result was about 2 trucks when he shut off at 102 and i was still going. we did another from a dig. i didnt spin as bad and passed him really quick and just kept on pulling.. so all in all im pretty satisfied with my truck its just a reg cab 5.3 with black bear tune exaust, and hole in stock airbox. what u think i would run if i could hook at the track?   18. how do u run a different rim and tire size with ur tune? does it not mess it up? or what do u have to do?
  19. so ur saying that everytime i wanna run it at the dragstrip i have to get it retuned for those wheel sizes?
  20. i got another question i might add... how will this not mess up my tune? if i run any other wheels and tires at the drag strip will it mess up the tune? or just make my spedo off? Thanks. Mike

  22. thats what i was gonna do was get the stock 17in chevy wheels. the 5 star ones. and get mickey thompson et streets. and on those cragars were did u find em at man? i can only find the 5lug ones.
