  1. I'd get one of these for the stock look. There are two versions, I think one plug is for XM and if you have a dual plug its for XM and OnStar. http://www.tss-radio.com/products/gm-xm-to-sirius-single-input-antenna-adapter-cable I just put a Alpine in my truck, but I'm waiting to install Sirius until I know O&A and Howard are staying on.
  2. Good ol' Summit Racing, I ordered my belts last night at 7pm (thursday), they will be here tomorrow (Saturday) no extra charge either. I also ordered the AC belt for while I'm under there. If anyone is doing a large case upgrade there are two belts summit shows, the larger one 93" I believe it is is for the larger case. Tomorrow before I change the belts I'm going to upgrade my ground wire from the Alternator bracket where it says GND I'm going to drill a nice hole and run the ground from there to the battery.
  3. Once I get paypal'd for a amp I sold on eBay I'll be doing this upgrade. IMO the iSS wing is the best looking wing for these trucks overall.
  4. Here is "everything" http://www.autotrucktoys.com/chevy_silverado/OEM-Chevy-Silverado-XM-Satellite-Radio-Upgrade-Kit-P11950C3860.aspx The radio though, I think your going to have to find a "unlocked" one because they connect to your vehicles VIN for security reasons. I debated on doing the "factory" upgrade in my truck, going to the LUX radio with Nav, etc. I just ended up doing a nice Alpine 7" IXA-407 for 400 bucks and another 200 for install and PAC adaptors. There is a co tss-radio.com that sells the adaptors for if your truck does have the XM antenna on the roof it'll allow you to use it for Sirius (which is the future). What sucks about radios these days is they're not cheap, gotta buy the adaptors for the Bose, adaptors for the steering wheel controls, satellite radio, iPod adaptors, etc. Good luck with whatever route you take
  5. I have the PAC module, and its matching steering wheel controller for my Alpine ixa407. I was pisses with the modules price, but to retain the factory controls, amp and sub. Well worth it Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  6. Gatorback belt huh? I gotta get the # off my new belt because it is a little longer to accommodate the larger case alternator. I upgraded the power wire off the Alternator to a 1/0 it stopped the voltage flux, I still have to upgrade the ground wire, I'm going to take the alternator out with the alternator bracket and drill a hole in the bracket to the lower right of the alt.
  7. thanks for the quick reply. Now I gotta find out why the voltage fluctuates a little bit. I think I gotta do the big 3 upgrade, I have plenty of wire, just not a lot of terminals, lol.
  8. I just put in my Iraggi 300 amp Alternator (large case) and put in a slightly longer belt to accommodate the larger case. On the Belt tension pulley I saw the arrow that should be "between" the lines for adjustment, it is right at the 50 yard line in it. When I go from a standstill to "all out" floored between 1st and 2nd I got a belt squeak. Should I put some oil or something on the belt? Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue
  9. ahh, you used a metal framing channel to raise it up a little, now I'm picking up what your putting down. I got my IXA-X407 installed yesterday, I was debating on putting sirius in the truck, but with BT audio I might just subscribe on my phone (Droid X)and play it that way? Pandora is nice too. Did you just Dynamat the floor? how about roof? Doors? back wall?
  10. That's f'n mint, its gonna look so stealth when your complete. You jacked the seat and the box to give the woofers more room to throw? Could I trouble you for pics showing how you lifted the seat and how far? I might be picking up a new Rockford 1500cp tomorrow and run two P1 12"ers Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  11. with the subthump XXX max box (8" speaker depth) can you sill fold your backseat, or did you have to do a conversion to have the back fold down to mount the amps on the rear wall?
  12. I just got mine today" black" I put it under the 3rd brake light in the dark part of the glass so I don't see it from the inside. First thing my wife said was" I thought you weren't putting any stickers on this truck?" (My F350 had like 7 on the back window and all gun stuff). I told her "just this one..." I'll take pics tomorrow. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  13. Nice build man, your 12's are cool with only 1.3 a side? I got a nice Iraggi 300 amp Alternator coming this week, so in the new few weeks I'll start my build before it gets real cold up here.
  14. cool, I just got the truck, I think the tires say like 40sh? on them, I put in 40, but I dont want to hurt anything, I'll drop em down to 35. Thanks for the quick reply. I got a nice 300 amp Iragi Alternator coming for it this week, gonna do a nice stereo in it over the next few weeks
  15. What does everyone run? the sticker is dulled out in my door jam that shows the recommended tire pressure.
  16. Hi Five man, do you know the cubic volume each side? Because of my OCD I like having everything the same Co. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
  17. Just ordered one, flat black 8", will be the only sticker on my truck......
  18. Nice build man, debating on my setup now. I have 3 US Amps, the MD3D, the MD43 and the MD42 that I was going to put in my F350 til I sold it and got my Sss. I was looking at JL Audio Stealth boxes but 750 for a box with one soso sub in it? where I can get a setup like yours with two 12's and put my own preferences in it. Got any pics of those Polk kick panel install? Can you buy those kick panels empty and put your own in there?
  19. I just found a AWESOME price for the Alpine IXA407 near me at a local dealer, but whats holding me from buying it is the adaptors needed to keep the Bose system active (including the sub) and the steering wheel controls. They are a PAC dealer and were trying to sell me the PAC GM with Bose adaptor but some kind of universal steering wheel controller, seeing what you guys are using and how do you like them.
  20. Stupid question, are these for front or rear? Please email me back at [email protected].
  21. The ad says 289 right? It is painted black, do you have all the hardware? Willing to ship to 06831?
  22. sry, I'm a CODmw2 guy, but will be in Halo Reach next week -Paul xBox user name Obnoxious247365 PSN name KAC1023
  23. Yea, it's something you don't notice unless the windows are up and the radio is off. I will take a peek after work tomorrow where I have access to a grease gun incase there happens to be a fitting under there
