Yeah he's gonna repair it but it wasn't his doings it was another company I had to just check it to make sure it was OK since I broke the converter ... should of just to it to him in the first place lol but I was in a short time frame now I'm paying for it!

Me too I take the trans to the original builder Monday morning

No it was a new one but had it checked by someone else after the converter broke last week and he said he replaced a band so I'm taking it back to the original builder on Monday BC I have never had a problem out of it until then other person replaced a band in it
Did the video work on here?

Well went to dyno tune the truck today and on the first pull it started acting funny (3rd gear slipping)but still made 460 HP and 468 torque w/o digging deep in the tune guess that's good for a truck on 24s and having a slipping 3rd gear ... thought it might have been pushing through the converter so tried again for a 2nd pull and it had no third gear... I just can't win with this truck lol

I got the drive shaft and cross member for free and I got a steal on the transmission and converter for $1,500 and just took my half shafts apart and just stuck the shaft back threw the hub and put the nut on it

Yeah it was a repo.. bank had it and just wanted pay off so I drove 4 hours paid the pay off and brought it home!

Lol I bought this truck 4 yes ago for $10,000 with 17,000 miles on it and I've hated the awd on it... I still have all the factory equipment I just wanted 2wd.. and yeah I'm painting the bumper... and the swap was cheap and easy

Well I decided to convert my truck to 2 wheel drive and of course I had to go out playing after wards and snapped a few pics and I just love this one haha

Well guys I put the transmission back in tonight and swaped out the optima battery for a new one and BAM problem solved! Its always the easiest little problems that whoop you the most lol

Yeah I'm thinking it is the battery causing it ... I'm going to buy a new one this weekonce I get the trans back in it

I'll have to get the model numbers later today but I know its not the alternator causing it BC I've put several on it

I work at a Chevrolet dealership and put 2 new factory 105 amps on it and 2 new 145 amp alternators on it and if you plug them up and crank the truck up it will run for about 30 seconds or so and go into reduced engine mode but instead of running like crap it just shuts the whole truck off and will not start back up unless you reset the computer and it only does it when the alternator is hooked up but if you unhook it it will run off of battery all day until the battery dies

I have the transmission out right now getting the torque converter tightened up

And the original alternator was a 105 amp and the new one is a 145

Well I've put 4 alternators on it last week and its still going in limp mode.... I've cleaned allllll the powder coating off the necessary areas on the bracket and put a non powdercoated alternator on it ... I'll look at the pin and all that tomorrow but it is a 4 pin alternator

Yeah I have a scan tool but have to wait till next week when I put my trans in so I don't throw anymore codes... could you possibly text me so we can talk during the process instead of the site lol

Yeah I have gotten rid of all the powder coating in the grounding areas and its grounding now and I haven't checked my battery I guess I'll check it next once my torque converter gets back

Well disconected the harness and it ran fine... went back outside a few hrs later to start it and it went into limp mode again! I'm to the point to where I could push this thing off a cliff

Yeah man lol gonna take it back next weekend ... should make over 500
