  1. It wont mess anything up. but you will want some one to turn off your rear o2 sensors to keep them from throwing codes.
  2. This is one way to keep the valves from falling when you change the springs. to keep the lifters from falling you can get 1/4" rods and slide then in from the front of the motor and they will hold the lifters while you pull the cam out. or you can do like alot and pull the pushrods out and spin the cam and the lifters will usually stay up on their own . but thats always a risk.
  3. My shortblock is at LME right now. From what I hear they do great work. Alot of the guys on ls1tech speak highly of their motors.
  4. TSP is pretty good to deal with. I havn't heard anything negative about their motors. Heads are going to depend really how much you are wanting to spend and how much hp you are wanting. you can go with a stage 2 stock head from West Coast Cylinder Heads that flows really good for $1300ish or you can go all out for a set like afr for $2700.
  5. low oil pressure and a broke crank bolt
  6. LME in Houston. They are suppose to one of the best around. at least i hope so for what i am paying
  7. you will have to post up some pics of the heads. They sound awsome. i just pulled my 408 last nite and sent it off to have it rebuilt.
  8. you will need a adaptor harness and a tac module from a 02 truck to make these work right now.

  10. not sure you really wanna openly admit that you have a stolen SUV at the house... Its not stolen, But the sticker was 40300 and before taxes and tags I got it down to 27800. which is about 13,500 off the sticker.
  11. That sucks bro. Did you pull the vette servo? This is one of the biggest reasons i dont buy a extended warranty. The bs they try to pull after you paid all that money and It still costing you more money to get the tranny fixed.

  16. well i had a 91 s10 blazer with the 4.3 that was lifted with 33s so i replaced alot of those parts many many times. at one time i could change all 4 ball joints and the pitman arm in 1 hour. the only thing on the list that is reasonable is the alingment lol. a pitman arm is around $30 brake pads are $50 for the good ones. depending on what shocks you go with $200 should get real good ones. 2 motor mounts $30 at the most your looking at about $120 for upper and lower ball joints.
  17. not unless it falls out i would wait untill winter is over. We went thru a few windshelds in trucks while we were up there

  22. That is pretty sweet, a few years ago i seen a combo that was a whole lot nicer. somebody had a 70 camino as the tow rig and a 70 chevelle as the race car. the camino would run 10s and the chevelle would run 8s. I am probably off a little on the times but not by much. it was truly a sick set up. the combo was on ebay a few months after i seen it for like 100k.
  23. in virginia you can get a eye doctor to send in a form to the dmv stating that you need dark tint. they put it on the registration card for dark sunshading. gets you out of alot of tickets.
