  1. Would anyone be interested in getting a good deal on some WeatherTech mats? I'm a moderator over on chevymalibuforum.com, some of our members have been asking if there would be a group-buy on WeatherTech floor mats..........so one of our former Admins has organized the buy.

25% off, and $18 on shipping to the lower 48 states. There is a 40 mat order minimum to get the discount, for all the details please read the thread......here. We have already got 25 sets sold so we are getting really close to our goal!

Its a win-win for all of us if we can meet the order minimum and get a great deal on some good stuff. You can order mats for any type of vehicle that WeatherTech manufactures. If you are interested just join up and post in the thread.

Hating on Canada :( I see how it is...

  2. Wow what a cute little guy! lol I just wanna play with him for hours! lol I am a sucker for dogs specially puppies lol.

My dad wont let me get one *sigh* he has no faith in my ability to care for one and he is paranoid about the mess. Oh well once college is done and I get my own place, im getting a Doberman Pinscher :)

    Grats!

  3. Check to make sure all of your clamps are tight, as that code can be caused by a post-MAF intake leak......

They should be, if it comes back on I might remove the fan shroud so I can get a better access to the TB. the rubber/silicone adaptors that came with the kit seemed pretty small, especially where it connected to the TB.

  4. OK so I recently installed a K&N CAI last week, the truck immediately threw a code. I had it read, P0101 came up, cleared it, ran the truck for another 100 ish km's then it randomly came back on, shut er off for the night, and it didn't come back on for another 100 ish kms. Same code came up. I just cleared it again tonight. Any thoughts as to whats causing this?

    2004 Silverado SS (6.0 L obviously lol)

The only "problem" I had with installation is that I did not disconnect the battery during installation, and when I had everything installed I started the engine before remembering to plug in the MAF, so I plugged it in while it was running. After seeing the CEL I disconnected the negative for 30 ish mins to clear the code manually, it went away.

It runs the exact same (seems to me) whether or not the CEL is on. It's getting super annoying, any help is appreciated.

Edit: I did spray the connectors and MAF tonight with electrical contact cleaner, it didn't clear the CEL, it didn't even look dirty in the slightest.

  5. I was wondering what our trucks would run up here. We're fairly high up in elevation aren't we?

I just looked it up were about 2400 feet about sea level. I'm not sure but I think you should be pulling better numbers than that:-(

Even with it being AWD and bone stock? It was also my first time drag racing ever, If I did more runs I'm sure it would've been a little better.

I have a KNN CAI now so if my truck is done getting detailed on saturday or early sunday I will probably take her to the last street legal this sunday and see what it runs with it now.

  6. Brought her out to the track last friday night, only did 2 runs because it was so effin busy, but ran a 15.97! not bad for a stock AWD truck I presume eh?

It was my first time ever drag racing and **** me is it ever fun, cant wait till street legals starts up again next year!

  7. Stole this off of a local car forum, thought it was hilarious and wanted to share :P

    6) In frustration, open another beer and drink it.

    7) Place drain pan under engine.

    8) Look for 9/16 box end wrench.

    9) Give up and use crescent wrench.

    10) Unscrew drain plug.

    11) Drop drain plug in pan of hot oil: splash hot oil on you in process.

    Cuss.

    13) Have another beer while watching oil drain.

    14) Spend 30 minutes looking for oil filter wrench.

    15) Give up; crawl under car and hammer a screwdriver through oil filter

    and twist off.

    16) Crawl out from under car with dripping oil filter splashing oil everywhere from holes. Cleverly hide old oil filter among trash in trash

can to avoid environmental penalties. Drink a beer.

    17) Buddy shows up; finish case of beer with him. Decide to finish oil change tomorrow so you can go see his new garage door opener.

    26) Remember that the used oil is buried in a hole in the back yard,

    along with drain plug.

    27) Drink beer.

    28) Shovel out hole and sift oily mud for drain plug. Re-shovel oily

dirt into hole. Steal sand from kids sandbox to cleverly cover oily patch of

ground and avoid environmental penalties. Wash drain plug in lawnmower

    gas.

    29) Discover that first quart of fresh oil is now on the floor. Throw

    kitty litter on oil spill.

    30) Drink beer.

    31) Crawl under car getting kitty litter into eyes. Wipe eyes with oily

  8. Congrats on the truck!!! Don't feel bad man I have 30k less then you and I beat on her every day.. As far as headlights and fogs go Art aka WICKEDOWESIX is a great guy to work with Im getting ready to order HID"S for my fogs and headlights as well.

Not able to view the link, says I'm not allowed to view member profiles? I assume I have to hit 10 posts or something first then eh?

Should I get HID's for the High Beams as well? I was looking at just LED bulbs for that.

  9. Geez Bob, way to make the newbie feel like crap, just because the truck has some miles on it doesn't mean it is gonna fall apart. In sense, the truck is just getting broken in. ......and by the way, 162,000km is the equivalent of around 100,000 miles. :idiot:

welcome to the site Gavin

    hehe thanks fireman.

First mod I'm looking at doing is getting HID kits for the fogs and low/high beams. Any suggestions as to what vendors to go with for that? As I was just looking at some on ebay earlier today.
