The best projector to use is the from the Acura TL or the Honda S2000. They offer the best cut off and are really compact that you can use them on almost every application imaginable. I did it back on my 2000 Camaro and the improvement and clarity is. amazing; highly recommended it .
got a good site to buy a S2K one from? I don't see any of em on theretrofitsource.com they have the TL's though. I will take a look at em, thanks man.
@elchivo, I am waiting on a friend who works the part desk at gm to see if he can order me any for cheap.

Oh yeah I know its going to take a couple days to completely finish but the quality it`ll give is worth it IMO. Plus i really want the prism cut off line lol I've been looking at the TSX projector but i just don't have a clue which projector is going to fit best with a good looking shroud inside of our headlights.
BTW I really don't feel like going the route of eBay projectors since I hear almost nothing but bad things about them, plus I had a bad experience with the last set I bought for my old c/k off there.

So I have been reading up on how to do this for a few days now primarily on www.hidplanet.com but most of the cars being featured there are imports and just a general lack of silverados. I am wondering if anyone on this site has any experience with this type of mod and if anyone could reccomend a type of projector and shroud that would best fit our OEM headlights.

Ya I think that's wat ill have to do. The cargo lights work but I can't get the brake ones to work. I've even checked fuses to make sure and tried everything else that I can think of. Thanks for the help. Ill just send her back and hope I get one that works this time lol. Ebay.... ha
Thats what mine did on my old 95 chevy... The brake lights worked tho, only when i had the interior lights turned on lol. It was too cheap for me to bother returning it and such.

Hmm ok I will try a H10 set then. I was thinking of getting 8000k in the low's, and maybe like a 12000k in the fogs to stand out? or either a 3000k (yellow) or a 30000k (violet). Not too sure.
Unless you're asking me if I'm going for 35W or 55W, in that case I have no idea, don't know any of the differences yet. Probably will just go with whatever is cheaper.
-
So according to the sylvania bulb guide our fog light bulbs are #9145. I have scoured ebay and some other HID sites and I havent found any that have a 9145 bulb, so I'm just wondering what bulbs you guys on here use to get HID bulbs in your fogs? I did a few searches and couldn't find anything...
Also any suggestions as to where to buy some affordable kits rather then on ebay?

I hear ya...when i'm driving it i still cant beleive how lucky i am to own a truck like this at 21 years old...feels awesome!
Exact same feeling for me too dude! Been a dream truck of mine since I first ever learned of its existence. It's a pretty surreal feeling being able to own and drive one of your many dream cars lol.

Beautiful house dude! Hope the build is going smoothly, my family built our house a year and a half ago, pretty crazy experience.
Pretty weird how different the foundation is done for your house compared to my house up here in Edmonton, AB. We have a full concrete foundation rather than cinderblocks.

I read most of it, guess that was one of the pages I skipped *facepalm*
Thanks for finding the post for me though, appreciate it.

I actually really like this... Just gotta get rid of the shitty rims, seat covers or whatever he did to them, and the foratio decals on the front bumper!
-
TO THATALLCANADIAN, if u look in the second picture, u can see the display has a blue cover over it, ( it goes directly on the display under the bezel and plastic and we cut out the factory piece on the layover. i dont have any pics of that but its pretty simple.
Hmmm I see it now, thanks man. I was thinking maybe it was like some sort of adhesive on top of the actual lcd screen.
-
What did you use to get your odometer display that nice and blue 8 UR HMI?
-
Holy **** sorry to hear about this... People are really ****ed up these days. I hope he gets his ass ****ing killed in jail. Hopefully he doesn't get a bunch of praise from the rest of the lowlifes...

I typically use AMSOIL in all my vehicles.
I generally don't trust a product when I see the "As seen on tv" labelling on it. They are super hit and miss, more often miss than hit.
-
Wow thank you for bumping this, probably would've never found it otherwise... Once payday rolls around I am thinking of doing this myself... I read most of the thread except for maybe 2 pages? Just got a couple questions if you don't mind!
1. Did you have to remove the steering wheel airbag to get more access to the buttons?
2. (may be a dumb one) But did you disconnect the battery before pulling of the cluster and all that jazz?
3. What did you use for the blue overlay on your odometer and P R N D 3 2 1 screens? I LOVE the difference that made on em (yes I creeped your photobucket ) I wanna do that to my climate control and possibly radio as well!
Also, how easy is it to do the soldering? I plan on picking up a test gauge cluster to practice on first.

Goddamnit these sold fast! I want em

My VIPER remote start system turns on my heated seats after the engine confirms its been started. I don`t know how they set it up, but that points you in the right direction I guess?
-
yeeaaahhhhh!!! those new black ones are pretty sweet.
-
Not a fan of either to be honest, seems too busy to me. I'm more of a fan of some nice solid 6 spoke's
