  1. i just had a compuStar pro remote start/alrm installed on my 03 SS and as soon as it came out the bay it had a engine light on. i spoke to the tech i told him this was not on. he sent some one outside to reset the light. as soon as i jumped on my SS i noticed that; the power was not the same and i felt that; she was starving for fuel or something. i came back to the shop and they took the truck back inside. when he came out he said; it was a low voltage code and told me leave it charging for a bit so i did. i drove the truck again and she felt fine. well i started the truck again this morning with the remote start and when i drove the same problem was there!!! i fell like she is giving me half the power she got. so i stopped the engine and started again but, this time with the key and then, she was working fine. so i notice that every time i start the truck with the remote start myh truck lacks of power and the transmission will not shift and it will take a lot longer to accelerate to a desire speed but when i i start her with the key she is the beast she is!! i am planning on taking her back to the shop but i want to check if any one of you had this problem before so i know what is wrong before i go there. i did my searched on the forum but, i couldn't find anything similar to my problem. there was one guy that had a problem similar but his was that he could not start the truck with the key and only with the remote. his problem was due to some safety code from the factory. maybe my problem is something like this??

    Any one??

  2. ok gs

i just bought a 03 SS/AWD and i was on the Grand Central Parkway and one of those Scions wanted to race me so i hit the pedal to the metal and i smoked it but right after i hit 110mph this guy blew by me!! i was really friking pissed.

i read most of the messages but at the end;;;;;;;;what is it that i really have to do to get this thing going faster than 110mph.

i altready have some aftermarket exhoust and a cold intake filter.

so what do i need to get?? i don't really want to be passed again by another scion again!!

  3. did you took a picture of my truck?

it looks just like the first picture! and i also change the color.

it looks ok the way it is but it will look way nices lowering it more.

i will try the 2/3 lowering kit

so do you guys recomend any one here in NYC?

  4. question just to go over

    1) is your truck lowered now.

    2) are you running on stock shocks?

    3) Ive done 22 and 24s on guys trucks here saem kit and we have potholes like crazy here in downtown san francisco and not one issue.

i just bought the truck and it looks low but, i think these type of truck come with a lower suspension anyway. the shocks looked like the stock one but, i am not sure.

is there any way i could determine wether or not it has the stock suspemsion?

  5. by lowering 3" at the rear and 2" in the from how is the ride? let's say i will go with 22" wheels.

also, does any one know any one in NYC that could do this kind of work? i know any mechanic could do this but, i'll like to bring the truck to some one that has done this before and is not guessing what to do next.

some one mentioned air bags for the rear to help when towing; how expensives is this?

  6. you can tow with a 3/4 drop and c notch. you can also run 24's if you have the right size tires and offset on your wheels. your best bet is to talk to tony (norcalss) and he can get you set up. he really knows his stuff

    how do i contact norcalSS?

  7. i just bought a 03 silverado SS and i was thinking of lowering it but, i wanted to know if i will have any problems down the line when towing heavy loads. i live in NY so the roads here are not that smooth!! will it be a rough ride? how about a 2" drop? what kind of suspension? can i use some 24"?? help please!!!

i really think this truck will look morre agressive dropped!
