Is it even worth trying to sell this? Its an RC-5046. Hardly used at all and in MINT condition. Someone looking for a replacement for their current K&N kit maybe?

Are these trucks running a MAF sensor? I havent been able to look yet. But watch the oil on the oiled air filters. That stuff can make a mess of a MAF sensor and really screw engine performance. I watched a FORD (yes I know ford, but still) on a dyno once. Ran a pass.. Cleaned MAF sensor, and threw down 70HP more the second run. Now thats an extreme case but. Just a FYI. I quit using oiled filters.

Anyone else have more insight as to why they might get like this? Should I seal them AIR TIGHT or vent them? Its not going away. In fact its more like its own weather system. Clouds up. Rains. Then starts all over again..

Im stuck deciding on color. Black vs polished I think would be my two picks.... Im just worried the black on the truck doesnt match the black on the bowtie, that would bother me.. So if I offset the colors then I wont have to worry about it.. haha, and all the people infront of me could see the nice big bowtie in their back window. I do like the custom SS, but thats money thats not in the bank right now. Opinions?

The bowtie on my grill isnt in the best of shape. Colors starting to come off the background. I looked on ebay but theres tons of them. Has anyone else put something else on there then OEM? I see they make stickers to cover it but thats kinda not the way I want to go is it? The truck is black so if the bowtie was Im sure it would look good. What years would work for the 03? Ideas? Thanks.

I feel better knowing Im not alone! haha.. I guess its not a big deal. Just bothers me looking at it.. I will see if the local wreckers has one sometime. Maybe even grab a few of them if their known to fly off. Are they SS Specific?

So Im kinda wondering about this. Drivers side between the inner fender and bumper there is an opening. On other trucks Ive seen a little piece of rubber that sits in there to keep debris out. I would guess that I am missing that piece?

Hello.. Well I dont have any major plans. Id like to just maintain the truck and look after it. Ive got another project car that I work on, so the truck just needs to be my daily driver. Ive sifted through a pile of posts on here and have seen some things that look interesting like the brake upgrades, Id like to remove the orange from my headlights, few other things. Some of you have some pretty crazy SS out there.

There more info on this somewhere?

Hey! Welcome. Edit... Sorry to hear about the truck.. Some people.. Better off dead.. I hate hearing about theft. Go buy your own stuff like the rest of us have to. No instead be useless and take someone elses hard work..

So does anyone know what it is thats actually causing the moisture in there so I could attempt to prevent it? Its in the lower left light only, the rest are fine.

Ive done some searching around but haven't found much useful info on the topic. One of my marker lights has some moisture built up in there. I'm considering on taking all the lights out to do the clear corner mod. Or I might just leave them for now and fix the moisture issue.. Are the lights completely sealed or do they have vents in them? How bad is it to pull all 4 out of the truck? Thanks for any help!

Hello from Ontario Canada.. Short story version. I was looking for a truck, more so a z71 and I came across an SS. Decided to scoop it up. It will be used for a daily driver, summer/winter. I REALLY like the truck and plan on doing a complete service of the fluids for starters. I had a terrible time trying to join this forum. FINALLY had my friend make an account and I took it over.. So with that said.. Any pointers about these things that I should be aware of? Triuck feels solid. It may have the steering issue that Ill fix. 2003. Black. 145000KM. (about 90000 Miles) THIS is what Im figuring... Amsoil 10-30 synthetic (goes in my car as well) Amsoil for front and rear diff. I looked around and it looks like most are putting the Auto Trak II in the transfer case. Fuel filter, brake fluid, power steering fluid. Transmission filter and fluid. Then right to Krown Rust Control for an oiling.. Good coat of wax for the winter. ??? It has a K&N Intake on it from the previous owner, as well as a JET performance PCM. Which will be for sale very soon as I have a friend who does tuning for GM vehicles. Looking forward to the forum. Im on one for almost everything I own.. haha..
