im not for sure, but i don't think thats a good idea lol i think your supposed to be boosted first before you switch too a cooler plug. yeah i know what you mean i started buying all my stuff for my turbo build a little over a year ago!!! I'm almost there =)Yeah, I planned on going boost awhile back... But things are progressing slowly with my project. I'll have it built soon though.
-
your running tr6 plugs? My buddies 2010 Sierra denali and I are really close too. He's usually about a tenth faster. He has a cat back and a tune and I have my mods in my sig.
-
i seen the awd denali trucks running 15.5-16's at the track, you should be about a truck length in front of them.

alrighty, thank you muchI have the phantom afr gauge also. So does Krabo if I remember right. You just need to go to your local wiring store and tell them you want a two wire weather pack plug setup(both sides). They normally take a special crimper but if you are patient you can do it with normal crimpers.
Oh yeah. Hpt pro comes with the data logger. If you are goin with a turbo, this is a must.
-
ok, yeah i haven't bought HPT yet, but you made you own plug? if understand that right lol and does HPT pro come with a data logger? This is a definite. You said it has outputs so that is good. Something I did on my auto meter afr gauge. Was I put a 2-wire weather pack plug on the out put side and the other end onto my data logger(hpt) and then I ran my wires in behind the center console and when I need them, I run it out the side and plug it in. Makes it also easier for pluging it in a lot. I was always in and out with it. And this just made sense.

when i seen it i was thinking the lsx 454 Small block lol its no big, live and learn. I've never driven one, but awd and a ls2 hell ya it would be funThanks for the thoughts/info guys. Saw a post somewhere that said the TBSS had a 454, duh on my part... Thanks again. I would like to drive a TBSS once though, I'm sure it would be fun.

its a autometer phantom, ummmm let me see if i can find the instructions, but i don't recall it having anythingWhat brand wideband? Some you can do a free air cal others are an electronic cal and quite a few are no cal. Regardless, there should be an owner's manual detailing how to set up the linear slope for the range you want to be the most precise with.
-
stock for stock, the ls2 is better but you can make more hp with the lq9
-
this made me laugh lol i don't even think a BB would fit in those

thanks, yeah i wanted it installed before i added the turbo, just for preparation, how would it be calibrated? it does have the data logging outputs there just not plugged up, and also I'm going with a 2bar SD tuneSeeing a pegged lean AFR reading after letting off the gas after a WOT blast is nothing more than DFCO kicking in and is normal. Low 12s for your setup isn't horrible but trimming it back a touch would be preferred IMHO. A wideband is a critical gauge to have once you start doing heavy modifications. Be sure it is calibrated before making assumptions on AFR numbers. A wideband with data logging outputs is the only true way to dial in your upper end airmass tables (Ve/MAF).
yes it is, and i made sure it was warmed up.Yup make sure its calibrated right, and is it a heated sensor? Is the truck warmed up?
-
went and did a couple more runs, 12.4-12.6 at WOT, and soon as i let off it goes straight to 18, that looks scary lol
-
thats what i thought too, stock engine, CAI, shorty headers no cats wheatley tune, wideband is right where the cats use to be, autometer
-
I have the Wideband installed, seeing 12.2 at WOT and it drops to 11.5 on shifts, whats everyone else getting?

Awesome!

X2I'm sorry, I didn't realize that my personal opinion was going to be received so negatively or that I wasn't entitled to it. The fact that I take offense to this guy taking his 2011 Z71 and throwing an SS on the tailgate and then claiming to own an SSS bothers me. I simply thought that as SSS owners and enthusiasts here on this site there would be more people on my side so that every Silverado we see does not wind up with SS stamped all over it. Are they not supposed to be rare in comparison to the rest of the Silverados? I've stated previously that the truck looks great, and he can modify it however and as much as he wants but that does not change the fact that it IS NOT an SSS. Also, there is no need for name calling gmJake.

chrome and arrival blue look very good togetherOh hells yeah man.. I like the chrome 22's 100x better. I also run 265/35/22 on mine. Son-of-a-Bitch your truck is so sick looking.. Absolutely love it!
-
cool deal man, they look really good, what drop do you have?20s where 275/40/20 front 315/35/20 rears
22s are 265/35/22 all around thinking of goin 305/30/22 rear later when tires are gone

X2I do have one suggestion, and that is to remove the flex fuel badge. Also, it can't be an SS and a Z71, pick one or the other and remove the other. And there is NO GM 427 SS... Pickup.
