Looks good from the pictures. You could try hydro dipping it. They spray clear on top of it so it looks exactly like CF.

Sounds like the CAI, trans mods and a mail order tune will do what I want.

 

What will the shift characteristics be like with the trans mods, not too sharp? Just firmer?I would like to hear rubber on the 1-2 shift under full throttle..

 

It will firm the shifts up.You tuner can adjust how firm you want it to shift.

Yes, the trans servos.

A lot of guys go with the Corvette servos.

Also,most go with a billet,or Sonnax 4th.

Trans go HD2 or Superior shift kit.

This is a good write up that will tell you a couple other things to switch out.IE accumulator pistons, trans cooler etc.

You can pull a cup of sea foam through the PCV valve, or the brake booster very slow.Shut off the truck. Pour the rest into the gas tank. Let it sit.Start up, rev rpms, and hold them while it smokes. Then go for a quick drive keeping the rpms up high.Do a oil change, check your plugs, check your throttle body to see if it needs cleaning.There is quite a few threads on it.
