hey guys, im going to atco in about a month. im running my truck the way it came from the factory with the only additions of k&n intake, muffler delete, dyno tune. it has hankook all season tires which i will be going to the track with. im probably gonna air them down a little, but not much. this will be the 1st time in my life that im legally racing. a quick walk thru from some of you veteran racers would be much appreciated. thanks! mike

i properly broke in my EBC set up and there is minimal noise.i have greenstuff pads tho.

My truck was stock til 2 weeks ago. I did the k&n fipk. I replaced my muffler with 3" stainless tubing. 93 octane at all times. My baseline pull was 324rwhp/354rwtq corrected. Timing was at 21* and afr was 12.7-12.9.... seems pretty aggressive for a factory tune. Got the afr around 12.5 and 2* advanced. 333rwhp/364rwtq where the final numbers. This was done on a Mustang powerdyne dyno. Roller load was set to 5200lbs vehicle weight. Not sure if this is the correct forum to post in. Please move if needed.

i was at a friends party on saturday talking trash to a buddy with a 5.0 mustang. he brought up his new mickey thompson tires and i laughed at him. they wherent even et streets, they where sportsmans. i told him to run it and he agreed. we go onto the strip and instead of him coming to a stop, he goes to 60mph for a roll. im in 2nd, honk it off, i pull ahead instantly. he evens out about a few feet behind my rear bumper by 85mph. 3rd gear is ass in my truck and by the time i hit my speed limiter he made it past my rear tire. i take the win. i asked what he had done, he proceeds to say, intake, headers, exhaust, tb spacer. by all rights, are they really that slow? should i have done aswell as i did? why did he brag about mickeys and then do a 60mph roll? some things just dont add up.

i drove 200+ miles to rausch creek off road park this weekend. these brakes/rotors blow away the stock rotors and crappy brake pads that where on my truck when i bought it. i drove the wrong way into maryland and had 300+ mile trek back home. encountered traffic. brakes never faded. thanks to Dan (fireman31) for getting me the parts numbers. picture of the tow rig loaded up.

hey guys, bought my sss as a daily driver and occasionally gonna tow my car to the track . any benefit if i get it tuned on 93 octane? will it average the same mpg's? mike
