Well, I really don't think they'd let me race. I'm not sure how strict they are but if they go over my tires there's a really good chance they'd say no. My back left tire is somewhat cracked up from dry rot. All the tires are a little dried out but the back left one is especially bad. Tried to get the dealer to give me a new one but they said nothing is wrong with it. Hah. Figures. I was mostly just going to come out to watch/hang out as well since I assumed they probably wouldn't let me run. Get some ideas, tips & tricks on the truck live ;)

Is this still on? Some comments on the Maple Grove website made it sound like it was canceled?

It's just before the rear axle and is a kit with more or less a fixed position. I've gone through and double checked positioning and clamps. All's good, it really does sound good outside the truck and the interior sound isn't going to kill me it's just surprising is all. I've been thinking of coating the cab with sound dampening stuff anyway so it's not a huge deal. The only thing I'm worried about, like I already said, is that I might have messed something up but I really don't see how :x

I'm not exactly complaining per se but I was definitely surprised with how loud it is in cab. Everything I read about it said it's almost unnoticeable in the cab but very nice outside. In this case it's very nice outside but also pretty loud in the cab. I'm just worried that I might have done something wrong! lol

I was expecting it to be a lot quieter in the cab. It's not overbearing but it's definitely a lot louder than stock and quite a bit louder than what I expected. Did anyone else notice this when they first installed it? I'm sure that until it's completely broken in the sound will keep changing but I feel like there's a pretty loud tone/hum inside the cab. I'm about 99% sure I have no leaks and everything is tight and installed properly, it might just be that my expectations were a little off? Thanks, Joe

Installed my Corsa Sport and my Volant CAI! Sounds beautiful, maybe not as good as it did when i started it up with just the cat on lol but still good

Would these fit without modification on a stock SS? EDIT: Eh, nevermind, there is absolutely no way I can afford these anyway, damn wishful thinking though :/

Well, I'm going to cancel the install party, today was such a beautiful day and the longer we wait the colder it's going to get so I just went ahead and put the exhaust & CAI on myself. Everything sounds great! Next step is to get my baby tuned up and i'll be set until I can get enough money for the headers & hiflow cat and every other thing I wanna do lol So, we'll have to take this up from an install party to a meet! Might try to make it out to the track on the 5th but kinda busy this weekend so we'll have to see. Thanks for the interest guys, sorry it fell through, just a bad time of year I guess. Yea I just meant get the ones that were photobucket bombed fixed but you did! I don't know for sure yet but I have a friend that sounded very interested, and, interestingly enough is driving down to FL in a couple weeks. So, he might be a buyer, might not be, never know, let's keep our fingers crossed He's headed here tonight so I'll be showing him all the pics and such. Joe

Just wondering how everyone uses their SS. I know they are amazing looking trucks, easily the best looking on the road in my personal opinion But, they are trucks after all and I use mine like a truck, nothing really heavy but I'll be hauling the boat around when fishing season comes and until then I keep a few hand-tools (carpentry stuff, chop saw/compressor etc) in the bed. I definitely keep it as clean as possible though, it's one super babied work truck lol. I keep some sheets in the box under the back seat to throw over the seats in case I get too dirty, and a different pair of shoes in case it's muddy! So, what about you guys? Joe EDIT: I made it a poll that you can select more than one answer on since I know some of you guys park them in the winter but use it as DD in summer and such.

Well, the 5th it looks like is out, maybe the 4th (Fri) or 6th (Sun)? I'll be out of town for the weekend of the 11th (probably but maybe not) so then it would have to be 3rd weekend (18-19-20) since the weekend after that is Thanksgiving and such.

Hey guys, I have my Volant CAI and my Corsa Sport in the mail, everything should be here by the end of next week. That being said I'm looking to host an install party! I don't know how long the install would take but I will provide beer/sodas/water and maybe we can get the lady to make a big batch of lasagna and cookies/brownies for us....or just go with the standard pizza ;) I have no dates planned beyond "Early November" so if anyone is interested please feel free to post here and let me know. I have absolutely 0 experience with chrome in the winter. Do you think a new set of wheels/tires is worth it/necessary to be used exclusively in the winter? I get a pretty decent amount of snow and therefor salt on the roads. I need new tires anyway and I've been looking at the Michelin LTX M/S2 for my new set. I like the black wheels though Super88, lookin' good Joe

From what I understand, hi-flows make your SEL come on a lot too. I was told to have my 02 sensors turned off if I went catless or hi-flows lol
