Thanks for the support guys!! License plate was 8E93501....had a spare on the drivers' side rear wheel, and the left brake light was out!!! For now I'll have to just wear my SS t-shirt in my Chevy Cruze rental....

what size are the rims BTW?

Yeah I don't know, I just want to see what they might look like on an SSS. Could be terrible. I kind of like a little more rugged look, though. Nothing's wrong with the stock wheels, they are just a bit more "street". I don't want to lift the truck, I was just thinking of swapping for smaller rims and bigger tires (like BF goodrich all-terrains) or something. Would love to see pictures if you guys have any leads...

I paid 20K for mine just this past august, i'm the second owner with 37K miles on it. it's an 07.

at a light next to a couple of rich kids driving a mercedes c230 or something last night. they kept looking over trying to get me going - not sure why, because i definitely could have run over that little POS, but regardless, we both go at it at the light, and they didn't have a shot and we're clearly flooring it. then i beat them thru the next light and they got caught so i put on my hazards and drove away happily ever after !

was out in chino playin some golf today...saw a red SSS black rims....looked bad ass. tried to catch up to say sup, but got caught at a light.

HA! must be something about chicago...i saw some woman driving around a ferrari there and she stalled it out at the stoplight....unacceptable

you got any better pictures from the side with those z71 rims? And what tires you got on with those rims? I'm thinkin about doing something like that.

i don't own a RED one....i just have some connections where i can get one for free now luckily i always wanted an xl1 back in the day haha...those things were no jokes then either!!!

we shot it on a 'red one' camera, edited using final cut pro. took about 3 months total to make! glad all you guys like it! i'm actually thinking about making a legacy SS commercial for fun...featuring all the different SS models. (ideally ones that go throughout the years...chevelle, camaro, impala, SSS, TBSS) i think it could be pretty cool. want to think of a cool idea for it to show their evolution. maybe doing some posts on the camaro and tbss forums and seeing if anyone would want to feature their cars in one.

yeah i did, just me and a couple of friends did everything, only cost like 500 bucks !

I'm down with the toolbox. Sweet rims too. I got the black low profile on the black truck, I like it.

Did you ever end up lifting your truck? I like the idea of getting some BF all or mud terrains and some thicker tires and maybe doing 3".

I got one made by Kobalt - they sell them over at Lowes. It comes in black, so it matches the black SSS pretty nicely. It's sits only about an inch above the bed, and is much shorter than most of the boxes. Also, it doesn't go all the way to the bed, so there's still about 6-8 inches between the bottom of the box and the bed. Not the best locking mechanism unfortunately - it works for my old golf clubs though!
