Once again, I just started on the hood in that pic. I have already pulled it all off. It just wasn't doing it for me. I had an idea of what it would look like but it wasn't what I had in mind. So I'm back to gloss black. I'm planning on murdering it now. Fun while it lasted! I don't have any other pictures of it.

Well we plasti dipped the hood and roof and doors, but the look didn't really look like I though it would. Project murder here we go.

lol I use to have a 13 inch one, didn't last long though. Matter of fact I've had my whole windshield tinted almost 3x as long as the brow and I never got pulled over til just recently.

So I have a layer of 15% on the windshield and 2 layers on the sides. Professionally done. REPEAT I'VE BEEN WRONG IT IS NOT 5% it is 15%!!!!!

And as for the windshield, I can't prove it's 5% but I'll take a pic and you can be the judge of it. I don't want alot of arguing haha. This isn't going to be a permanent paint job. It's just a project. If I really like it, I'll keep it for awhile maybe til summer. I understand plasti dip isn't quality. However, it's just going I have to do for right now. Okay guys! alright I agree that plasti dip is a cheap way to convert, but I'm 18 so I can't afford to get a proffesional paint job done to it. And I'll go through the tint talk with you as well. The tint on my windshield, looks as though nothing is there. So maybe I'd be at fault for a car accident for it, however I know that it does not impair my vision at all. Go ahead an look up pictures of how professional film looks compared to others. I was just as surprised when I picked up my truck and I could see perfectly. I really hope that this paint job looks nice, so before you go telling how shit it is and how crap the quality wait til I post how it looks after everything and then you can feel free to tell me how bad it looks.

yeah same I saw that video too and I was surprised at how it looked. You couldn't tell the difference between a professional flat paint job and plasti dip. Ill be doing the truck in sections so I'll be putting progress pics in this so you can see.

Alright guys, a little bit of hate on the plasti dip. I was expecting that. The whole paint process will cost me about $150. For the Pro Car Kit and paint and other little things. Plasti dipping the whole car with the kit leaves a smooth finish and the gun allows for controlled and even painting. Now other the the body being done in hire, I will be making my front emblem, billet grille, headlights and fogs, an taillights all black. The point is to get that "storm trooper" look. I have seen an entire plasti dipped car, I've felt it and seen it after an entire winter and it held up just fine. So I am not worried about the how it will last. Now, my truck is my baby, and I only to quality work on it. I believe that I can achieve the perfect paint job with plasti dip. If any of you have any tips before I could into paint here in a couple hours let me know And about the 5% windshield, I can see almost just as good as I did before. The tint isn't that GILA bullshit from stores. It's professional film which leaves the inside nice and clear while the outside is black. It is 5% on every window. We got almost no snow now, it all melted and now were iced up everywhere.

Well I put in a 2/4 for now since it is winter. Summer it wi go to 5/7. Tinted up at 5 on the windshield. And I'm plasti dipping the whole truck flat white!!!! Starts tomorrow!

So today I was driving at about 3 or so, the sun was down but still was lighting up the roads. If you don't know, I have 2 layers of 5 all around, and 20 on my entire windshield. So I go by an intersection an a cop pulls out and pulls me over. Comes up, does the sides which read 1%, so he gives me the whole tint speech an says that he's irritated at me because I keep getting pulled over and taking off tint and putting it back on. Luckily this wasn't earnest, (you aalaska members know what I mean). He seemed like a new officer. Now, to check tint they use the meter, but they cannot check for the windshield. So he asks if my windshield is tinted, I say no. He goes in front looks for a minute, comes back around and says yes there is. I say nope, if it was tinted wouldn't it look darker inside? ( I got my tint done professionally and it from inside it looks like there is no tint. He shakes his head, says god dammit your good. I ask him if he is going to right me a citation, he just looks at me and says "good luck" hahahahahahahahahahhahahahhahahahaha! Made my day!

I think it would look decent with some paint matching. It's not THAT ugly. Defintely stock headlights tho.

Well your SS sits a bit lower than normal silvy's. so I'd go to 3/4 if you want. Or you could consider, if you really want low, airbag suspension.

Love the truck. But that chin spoiler, ruining the front ends look for me. But hey just my opinion nice drop. Looks like my old 4/6! Almost tucking in the rear!
