So I've been wanting to get an HD hood for my 2000 silverado. I think it gives it that "aggressive look". However I need to know if I need I get the HD grille and bumper cap or of the good will just directly bolt on. Any info is appreciated!

I love the SS silverado trust me. I used to have a silver birch. Spent on good 8k on lowering, 4k on just the 26" rims. And the sound system and all. But let me tell you, when I drove my friends 2006 Denali. The interior is amazing and I love it. So I traded the SS for it. Buuuuut it got old. So I decide to sell it and buy a single cab and use the extra 18k on makin this baby the sickest single cab hands down. I miss the SS but with a new truck. You will eventually move on.

Do a flip kit in the rear then get some lifting shackles to gain that 1 inch. Or keep the flip kit if you like the stance.

Yeah I know! My friend Scott who's uncle oversees and supervises the officers said that Earl was an ass and averaged about 26 pullovers a night. Usually for non traffic violations. That guy is (too be respectful) a d ick!

Yeah the tint was on for about 5 months. So it was good while it lasted. And I do understand he was doing his job, but it was super obvious that he pulled me over for tint. And decided to get me for everything he could. The tail light were tinted lightly and light was bright enough. So he was just an ass then. And the HIDs made me actually tell him that they were white. He said "well based on what I can see, they have a blue tint, so they need to go". The officer is notorious in anchorage for pulling guys over for tint, taillights, etc. AK users probably know Earl Earnest.

They got me on the way home at 12:30 am! Pulled me over, immediately took out the tint meter and got me for 5% on the sides and having 20% down the entire windshield. Then he comes up to my tail lights and says I need to take them off because of a black coating on them. THEN he proceeds to come up to the front of my truck look at my HIDS. He says it's illegal to have blue HIDs. Now, being 55W they are white with a little hint of blue. So he makes me pay 60$ for the HIDs. He says if he sees me with any tint, he'll impound my vehicle. And I have to remove my tail lights.

So what about a 3/4 drop or 3/5 on the slides? Or actually what would be the ideal drop on those rims?

Ok so now that my interior and sound system is all done. I want focus on the looks of my truck. Its a 2000 black silverado single cab shortbed. I need help with how to get as low as a 4/6 drop. And I want to run black 24" KMC slide rims. Not very good at this so I want very low profile tires do what tires should I go with? MY TRUCK IS A 2WD/4WD!!! What offset? Can I get this low? If so how can I make the ride smooth? Will I be able to turn? If you guys know more than I do, please help me out! I believe a leaf spring has been taken out of the rear or something to make it sit a bit more level.

I have had 24 inch rims for 2 years now. But stock height . Now I'm going with a djm 3/5 lowering kit for a 4wd and running these HELO 866 rims black with chrome accents. But I still need tires. What is a lower profile tire that will work well with the drop? The rims will be 20"

4x4 are 2 inches higher. And yes it has torsion keys, with the newer body style 1999 suspension.

I should say the tires are 265/35/R22. Low profile.

Ok so I have a single cab silverado 1999 with the newer body style with the 2wd and 4wd function. I have new 22s on, but I want to get LOW. However I don't want it to f uck up the 4wd or anything. I want like a 3/4 , 3/5, an hopefully 4/6. 3/4 3/5 4/6 :)

Ok then let's talk powder coating. Can I make that glossy? I have my rims but no rubber yet. I'll post a pic once the are different color. And PAINT chrome?

Ok I didn't know where to post, so I though I'd post it in the most popular area. I sold my black 24s and now have chrome 22s. IMMEDIATELY REGRET THIS DECISION. However I love the design of my rims and want to plasti dip them black. Could I do this? Can I make it gloss? Should I leave it flat? It's chrome btw
