UPDATE: Well...not really hahah I did this a LONG time ago but never added it to my build thread. I bought an extra SS lanyard and... I took the pull strap on my SnugTop... And slid it off the bolt... Then I cut the clip off... And Ta-Da!! My new Silverado SS Pull Strap

Yeah that little white cut out is the hole for the clip thats on the bottom of the switch. Mine is broken too. If I'm not mistaken, when I installed this on my clone, I thought there was also a screw on top that holds it in too...I could be wrong. But if that's the case, just put a screw in. If not, I'll just say that EVERYTHING is pretty much replaceable on these trucks. Just get the part number. Check out my How To Install Power Folding Mirrors thread in the "how to" section. There's a picture of what I'm talking about in there.

This doesn't happen very often (maybe once every few months), but when I go to put my truck in reverse or drive, sometimes it goes into neutral instead. And I don't notice it until I give it gas to take off and my engine just revs. I just put it in park and then back into drive or reverse again and it works. And I know it's a neutral because I sometimes slowly roll forward or backward depending on where I'm parked. Kinda weird. I've never had any transmission problems before and I'm not hard on my truck when I drive it. Is this a common problem or is my transmission slowly going out?

As I was on my way home from a day trip to the coast with my lady, I saw an 03-05 Red SS with silver wheels. (I'm pretty sure they were silver) It was heading into Paso Robles as i was heading out on the 46. Just wondering if it was anyone on the site! Hope you all are having a great week -Thomas
