I was reading through this thread and saw that you clearly know something about flowmaster mufflers that I do not. I just put a flowmaster super 40 series on my truck about 6 months ago and I love it. But does it really have absolutely no horsepower gain whatsoever? And if so, what does Magnaflow have to put these gains on?

Well I've bee thinking of investing in one for a while now, this is making me reconsider all of the horror stories. I might have questions later on as far as cleaning goes if I do get one; but for now, thanks for the info.

On another note, how do you like your K&N intake? I hear horror stories often around the dealership, but on the other hand I get a gear deal of success stories. Also, how often do you clean it?

I have been looking at a few 2003-2007'ish silverados running around with HALO headlights and have had mixed feelings about the way they look. Anyone know some HALO headlights that look really clean on an '03 SS? I see some that are too tacky, and some that look straight up cheap, but occasionally I see some that look really good.

Is the illuminated Silverado emblem above the radio a custom built deal, or did you buy it? I would really like to do something similar to that in mine when I put my new radio in. Also, what brand did you use for the pillar itself, I've heard horror stories of them cracking or being oddly colored.

There are only 53000 miles on the vehicle, it gets down below freezing here, and I'm not entirely sure what weight the front differential calls for. I'm going to pull it open tomorrow, I'll post the results.

I was referring to the engine oil, I'll change the front diff oil next chance I get. Should I use a heavier weight oil?

I just changed my oil last weekend and greased every joint. I'm thinking maybe if I get the clutches in the transfer case hot and then flush the fluid and replace it with a newer fluid it might help, but that is only if the problem lies in the transfer case.

I would definitely want the white one with blue stitching, xs if possible?

My front suspension, steering, and differential are all entirely stock but I get this odd groany noise when I turn right uphills. I work in a chevrolet dealership and all the techs are scratching their heads at it. I am thinking that maybe the clutches in the AWD work against each other when you turn in that particular way and it groans, but I wanted some other opinions, please!

I have a neat idea for a gathering, large or small. My father owns a chevrolet franchise in Van Buren, AR, it would be a perfect place to gather and show off the trucks, eat, drink, and just have a good time. The corvette caravan comes through every couple of years or so and liggenfelter customs in Texas occasionally sends a cool car our way, but a picture of a bunch of Silverado SS's would be a good one for the wall, just an idea to toss around.
