  1. Thanks guys! I will try that one out. I do have on-star, I have an 04' with everything you could get with the SS.
  2. when you do that jump, do you have to do it by the relays or can you do it at the bcm?
  3. thanks! does it plug right in to the factory harness? and does the ipod appear in the menue when you go through the sources via the steering wheel controls? those are the only two things i particularly care about
  4. I've been looking through forums and saw pictures or people with the black front air dams/lower valance on them but cant find where to get one! anyone know where!?
  5. So I want to mount fog lights down in the scoops, anyone know what brand or style fit nice and clean? Also, im going to do the HID upgrade and want to know how to make it so you have all four when the High beams are on. I saw a post on how to but it kinda confused me, can anyone explain more? Also, there yellow driving lights piss me off. Anyone have and good conversions or way to make them bright and white like headlights?
  6. Yep, thats the one, and I would levae the CD player out but i figred it would hook up in same harness but never actually seen the back of one. anyone know a "cheap" touch screen that looks and functions just like this that will fit with factory controls and have ipod connect.
  7. Right now i have the factory bose witht he 6-disk, and i want to upgrade it to a touch screen that fits in, gives me full functions of xm/cd/fm/ipod and maintains the steering wheel controls. I would like to try to put a newer 09' touchscreen from an avalanche in it. will this work, fit right in, or is there no way i can do it.
  8. Well, I cant afford forced induction, but I think maybe a top half upgrade and a nitrous system should be around $2,000 and be a good set-up. If I get nitrous, what system is the "best" and what do I need to have? Do I need to have the remote bottle opener, and bottle warmer, and all that stuff or do most kits come with everything I will need?
  9. How much tuning do I have to do on computers and stuff to put forced induction on it, and how hard is it on the motor with FI to run nitrous?
  10. So here is the scoop, I am a college student and want to go fast. I bought an 04' SSS two summers ago and I have the urge to get this thing going fast. My goal: alot of my buddies are into trying to race me, and quite frankly my 68 camaro isnt quick enough to beat them even at 450HP, and the .273 rear-end doesnt help. The fastest car im going to have to be up against is a 2010 Camaro SS witht the 6.2L I have a K&N cold air on it already and I want to change the Cam and reluctantly will probably put a 2600 stall converter in it. With that said, whats the easiest (and cheapest) way to get the power I want? I want the idle changed so the cam is a must. But with the cam, do I want to go to a 222/224 .566/.568 that requires a small stall most likely from what i've read, or do I want to take it a step down and stay away from a stall? I've never done any performance stuff on a fuel injected car or automatic transmissions, so I really am in the dark here. I assume I can swap intake, cam, manifolds for headers, and do computer tune to gain some good power. Oh, I also have never done a cam swap on a motor that has been run. Do I need to change rods, springs, rockers, etc. or can I simply pull out the old one and slide in the new one. Do I need, or would it be recommended, to chnage heads or are the stock heads good enough to support cold air and upgraded fuel delivery? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me as well at: [email protected] Thanks!
  11. Thank you for the help!
  12. Oh and sorry I meant the LS2 intake
  13. I'm not going to put a stall in or anything I just want to make it sound a little lopier and give a little more deffenition between the cylinders for a little more muscular sound. I also want to change the intake, I have access to gmperformance parts cheap so im going to GM to get the new stuff, any suggestions on that?
  14. I have a factory 04' LQ9. I do have a cold air and plan on putting the LS3 intake with the 90mm TB on it. What cam can I get to give it a good lope at an idle and still run nice. I have a 68 Camaro with a 350 pushing about 450HP and i want it to sound kinda like that. I don't know the specs on the cam in my car but what duration and lift specs should I be looing at for my 6.0L?

    Exhaust?

I'm sorry I didn't realize there was a bolt on section my bad. But thank you! As for glasspacks, I love them on my camaro but think as an almost everyday driver in the summer it would get a tad old haha.

    Exhaust?

Thanks!, There are so many out there and I didnt want to go with straight pipes because that would just be disturping the peace haha.

    Exhaust?

Hey, I'm new to the site but I figured this would be the best place to ask this question. I have an 04' Silverado SS and I want to do a custom 3" exhaust with baffled tips. I just want to know if anyone knows of a good muffler, either 2 in 2 out, or singles that will give me a low rumble and be somewhat quiet in cab.I plan on running them straight back on either side of the hitch. I like loud but I drive on the highway alot, and I dont want anything that at 2,300rpm is too annoying, haha, but at the same time the stock exhaust is not loud enough or low enough for my liking. Any thoughts?
