That just sounds shady. I was asking cause I wanted a cluster but it had like 130k on it. My truck has 48k on it.

Ok I was finally able to read the post. And would like to say thank you for your post. That was quite a breakdown of what a guy could do. Honestly it made me feel like I need to buy my heads( I had already kind if decided on trickflow so glad to see you gave them a thumbs up!). Have zippy help with cam choice then get my trans and fuel system up to par and bolt up a procharger. So everyone talks about tranny issues but I never hear anything about tcase or diff. Issues. Is all the other running gear good for that much added hp? And when changing to a 4l80 is there any other changes. I know there are issues with either the input or output shafts. Or both?? But what about cooling. Larger cooler? is that something I would get out of a 2500 or aftermarket? And I need to remember that if I go faster I need to stop at some point and save some money for a brake upgrade. I will have to ask about that in another post. But thanks for all the knowledge that was just dropped. This is by far the most helpful forum I am a part of.

It just hit me. I don't think the cluster I want will work. It's out of a truck with a standard tranny.

I would definitly take you up on that but if we do get together it should happen before the snow flies. I'm just torn man. I want power lots of power hahaha. I'm so tired of all these diesel guys raggin on me and just walkin me man.

Why do you sound so surprised. That doesn't seem unreasonable to me. But I am by no means a mechanic or a pro. Just curious why the shock.

So I am buying a different cluster for my truck tonight and was wondering if I can reset the mileage on it to match what is on my truck or if I have to run it the way I get it. I am thinking about having it sent out to have an led conversion put in it so I was thinking maybe that guy might have the know how so he could do it. Any ideas? I'm sure it's possible just need to be pointed in the right direction.

So I've been super wishy washy on the mods I want to do. For a few months I've had the idea of procharger. But I recently have had a change of heart and want some solid naturally aspirated power( with a big Tim the tool man Taylor grunt!). So I know a lot of guys here have some experience building motors and I would just like some idea thrown my way. First I am definitly doing cam and stall. Want to do a different intake as well. And change the heads. But I want most of the mods or all if possible to be usable with a supercharger setup later. Any thoughts or opinions would be great. Oh yeah since I know the first ?'s ill get will be my goals and budget. Would like to run 12's. hi low whatever just be in the ball park so I can keep up with some of my buddies with their mustangs. And budget wise I'm looking to stay within like 6 grand. About what I was planning on spending to procharge this spring.

Are the injectors the same as our stock injectors?

Looks good. Well I think the big cause of wear with those is the temp. They are super soft however if its cold they don't wear as fast. Atleast that's my theory. Hahaha could be way off. But this is the third fall I've put them on with no snow and they are doing good. And I am looking forward to see what the ss looks like with the reps on.
