  9. check engine light has been coming on and then going off on its own for a while, last two weeks it came on and then stayed on. I had advance check it. They told me to try a new gas cap, well that didn't fix it. So they told me it could be a sensor on top of the gas tank or the vent on top of the gas tank could be clogged up. Any advice on this or any knowledge of this?? Its a 2003 Silverado ss awd. Thanks, Chris
  10. so should i just cnc polish and port them and not mill them? what kind of ptv issues will milling cause. So these are not able to be milled without modifiying other engine parts?

  12. what companies are good for getting built 4L65e trannys to replace my dead tranny in my 03 AWD SS?? i know of finish line transmissions. are they good and reliable? any others?
  13. Ok. What tranny do I have now. A 4l60 or 4l65? Where can I buy a built one? Or a rebuild kit to rebuild mine stronger? How much will I prob be out?
  14. I have a 2003 silverado supersport with a tranny problem. I have a 2600 stall in it and a corvete servo. The engine has a small cam and long tube headers with full exhaust. My tranny has started to slip. It doesn't do it all the time, it started out as it wouldn't go in reverse. I can put it in reverse and sometimes i have to floor it to barley go backwards. Its like a total slip. The engine revs but no movement. It doesn't happen all the time though, just randomly. It happened once a couple of days ago on take off in drive. Like from shifting from 1st to 2nd it just reved really high like a slip but then went back to normal. It has fresh fluid and correct amount of fluid in it. any advice?? Thanks, Chris Prater
  15. actually i found my cam card. Its a comp cam 54-424-11 duration is 265 / 271 lift is .558 / .563
  16. i have a 2003 silverado ss with a comp cam, very mild street cam, almost stock idle. (don't remember the numbers), upgraded springs on the heads, Volant air intake, tranny cooler, vette servos, 2600 stall, long tube headers, full exhaust, dyno tune, im looking at possible porting and polishing the heads, and getting a intake ( or porting and polish the stock intake, ) and a new throttle body. Also looking at what size of injectors i will need, what size are the stockers? I also need some help looking for a shift kit for my tranny. I need some help on picking out parts and what is my best options for my truck. I want to keep it a daily driver but just wanting more power. Thanks, Chris
  17. where can i find parts for these trucks. seems like i can't find any websites with silverado ss parts on them. id like to look at some intakes, throttle bodys, shift kits, electric fans, for my truck.
  18. yes, i have a tune, local shop where i live did the cam work and the tune. I also have the vette servos. thats the only thing done to it besides a bigger tranny cooler. i might be interested in a shift kit, what kind of shift kits are available for these trucks? I don't have my cam card with me. I forget which cam the guy put in it. I know its a comp cam, and its very mild. You can hardly tell it by idle. It did produce a better power curve and more power for my truck, but at idle you can't tell much if at all any difference over stock if i get a new intake and tb, what kind of injectors do i need to look at? what about our stock fuel pumps? are they good enough? what size injectors would i need? what size are the stockers?
  19. i have pacesetter long tubes, magnaflow cats and pro flo dual in dual out muffler dumped over the back axle. I have absolutly no drone and it has a nice deep sound to it.
