  1. Texas speed has nice lts. I just had got 1 3/4 lt's and y pipe, lt's are ceramic coated and y pipe stainless for like 600 shipped. Sound great!

I already got true duals with an x pipe. Im looking for a set of long tubes that will take the place of both the headers and cats.

  2. I am doing 0-60 in 5.9 to 6.1 with a hand held stopwatch, How much HP does my truck have with your calculator ?

I dont put a lot of weight in those times because I am doing it with a hand held device...But it's somewhere in the ballpark...

Well this is a basic physics 30 type formula that i used when i was bored lol. Gotta remember i still got a basically stock 5.3 and i used a tuner to figure out my 0-60. Also weighed my truck at a grain elevator and said it was 5300lbs or 2.51tonnes which i find a tad off.

  3. Is it 4th gear or over drive? My truck will not kick into od until it has reached operating temp

three gears and OD. i have no problems shifting into OD.

what all is do to your truck as far as performance wise goes? If you like to drive it hard and it has quite a bit of power over stock then you could get a built trans and that would help a lot. But its not cheap. to spend 3k-5k for a built trans is quite common. you could even spend up to 7k if you want a really strong one. call around and find out what works best for you.

All its got is true duals and an airtake and a tune.

  4. He's right. That is a sign of the 3-4 clutch set on it's way out. At least it is giving you some warning to get you enough time to collect parts and make decisions.

I blew the 2-4 split in er last time and was talked into getting a gm tranny so i got crazy warranty on it if i remember correct. Would there be any way to prevent this from happening in the future. shift kit? etc? besides the obvious being built with better than gm parts.

  5. Okay so I have been searching all over the web in the past hour looking at different types of methanol injection kits and advantages and disadvantages. Correct me if I am wrong in any of this. So anyway from what I understand of this stuff is that this was first used by an engineer in world war II by a guy looking to get more horsepower out of air crafts for higher altitude etc. This system injects small streams of water and methanol. Since then it was adapted and now its in our everyday vehicles. From my research i found a few different companies:

    Snow Performance:

    Alky Control:

    http://www.alkycontrol.com/

    Labonte Motorsports

    http://www.labontemotorsports.com/

Anyways, this cools down the engine temps, better fuel economy and of course better power gains.

According to this video, every 30 gallons of diesel fuel you will go through 5 gallons of mix. Source:

Of course I do not plan to use this on a diesel but I am always looking for power so am seriously considering this an option. From the stuff I have also seen you have a tank feeds a pump, pump feeds injectors, module controls the whole system and lights go into the cab and control unit.
