How's the ride. I know I'm touching up front and not lowered. I know the trucks supposed ride on them barley because they work in conjunction with the torsion bars. Mine just feels bouncy stock. I want my ride to be a little lower though.
  3. Man I lucked out with these. I seen a guy at the gas station here on post that had them on his slammed 4 door chevy so I stopped and asked him where he found the wheels at. He said he wanted 22s and I told him I been wanting the LTZs that he had on his truck. I asked him if he wanted to trade wheels. That day we swapped out. He was super excited to have my 22s and I was just happy to have the wheels I been wanting. Worked out great.
  4. I think I have this photobucket thing figured out. here are the bigger pics finally. http--,,--//
  5. I switched tires and wheels, now it is nice and quiet. I am glad it was a tire issue and not something else. I appreciate all the help that was offered.
  6. Ssfast, they look sharp on that black truck, matches perfect. I really don't mind them at all. I am very happy with them. I would like actual ss wheels if I come across the right deal. Diggerdan I will definitely get photobucket set up so I can put the pictures up correctly.
  7. Thanks, yeah the pics came out small. I usually have issues posting pictures unless I shrink them down. I will post bigger ones today.
  8. I had traded my 22s for the LTZ wheels which I have been seeking for awhile. Being that the SSS is a sport truck and not such a flashy truck I was happy doing the deal. I bought the truck with these 22s but would rather have the stock wheels. LTZs are the closest I could find around my area. Feels better on the road and I am very pleased with the look. Opinions?
  9. Looks sharp. Where do we get them from?
  10. Dave, I have noticed that on really smooth pavement I get the humming louder then when on older rough pavement. I definitely believe the tires are the problem. Now I have to save up for some better ones.
  11. I confirmed the noise is the tires. I changed my front hub out and still have the dang hum. I think I am going to start looking at some factory wheels and just run a stock set of tires or maybe something similar. That front diff I had rebuilt started making the famous bearing noise again so I bought another diff for a great price and slapped it in. Its nice and smooth now except for tire noise. Thanks once again for help. Different wheels and tires it is. Now I have a excuse to look for new rims.... Thanks for the input.
  12. Jason ever since I bought the truck I have been fighting the dealership about the front diff noise which I ended up getting a new t-case out of the fight some how and I fixed the front diff myself. But I really think the tire noise has been there the whole time and I just notice it more now. I believe it is my tires making noise but I just wouldn't think it would be so loud. I am really trying to find some stock wheels and tires which I believe would be a lot quieter.
  13. I tried to shake the wheel and had no play. Tire pressure is right on. Bought a new hub anyway. Gonna change It because I have 88k on he truck right now. Sure its gonna need it eventually. I just wouldn't think a street tire would he so loud.
  14. I have a new t-case. I recently bought a new hub for it also. If this hub does not fix the humming then I really don't know what else to do. I would really like to get the stock wheels and tires for it one day or some ltz wheels. I hate these 22s.
  15. Looking for a little insight from all the knowledge that is on this site. Front driver side wheel/ tire is humming at around 15/30mph. The hum gets louder when I apply the brakes. Sounds like I am running mud terrains on really smooth pavement. The hum goes away with higher speed. Could it just be my tires that make it sound like this. I have changed front diffs already and rotated tires. Also it is a 03 SSS on 305/40-22 by nexen. Anyone running these tires notice this?
  16. WOW! That is a huge difference. Looks great
  17. If it counts for anything I have always had a great experience on this site. I usually ask for opinions or tips for what ever it is that I am doing on my truck and I have not been steered wrong. I will agree that I see a lot of arguing between members on certain topics but I have learned a lot regardless.
  18. Steve, I will look on that site you recomended. Appreciate the input.
  19. I would love to attend some sort of event with fellow SSS members but I have yet to see anything in the state of Georgia. Is there anything around here that I can attend? I always check this topic but everything is far away and not really an option for me. I am in Columbus at Fort Benning. I can do Atlanta, whats out there????? I know something has to be Georgia eventually.
