Thanks!! 2005 with less then 28k miles. One owner. Family truck so I have EVERY service receipt. I think I ended up answering my own questions, but I'd proly have to see a stock setup to truly figure out how to go about swapping the parts.

Here is the suspension pics. Looks like it was proly a McGaughys kit. 2/4??? How do I return it to normal? Get stock spindles and reposition the leaf spring into factory mounting holes?

Hello all. Here is my new to me 2005 RWD SS. How do I determine what was done to drop it? Reason I need to know is that I want it back exactly to stock height. What should I look for? I believe its some sorta 3/4 drop but have no idea. Any ideas pros?d Willing to crawl under the truck and take any pictures you guys would need to help me out. Thanks to everyone!

here she is. What kinda drop y'all think?? It also has a dual in dual out magma flow. Ima keep the bed cover as its a quick release to remove and reattach.

that video is pointless, of course the lifted truck won. his bumper is higher, meaning he is pulling the rear of the SS off the ground slightly. Have to have the chain perfectly parallel to the ground for it to work correctly.

Looks like the 2nd poster was right. The SS "Should" come with the trailering package... meaning it has a hitch and 7 pin connector, as well as prewired for the Trailer Brake.

And I am assuming, if the rear trailer connected ISNT on the truck, there SHOULD be a connector for it under the bed right?

Is there an RPO code on the door that would show if you have the harness? I am purchasing a 2005 RWD SS with the trailering package and am wondering how do I know if its there. Its something I will def be adding so it would be nice if its there!

I paid 500 for labor on my fbody cam swap. I'd think it'd be harder in an fbody too. 27 hour job is a joke tho

Hello. I was wondering if anyone could post some underbelly pics of a dynatech header combined with a Corsa Sport exhaust system. This is the setup I plan to run, and was wondering how everyone set theirs up. Thank you in advance. Plan to run magnaflow high flow cats as well. Just curious if anyone has any pictures of after the install. The reason i need pics is because the bolt on flange on the intermediate pipe from dynatech is the same side as the bolt on flange on the Corsa Y pipe. Curious to see who you get these to fit. If they have to be cut in some way and re-welded or what. Thanks!

Thx all. The cover is in perfect condition as far as I know, however I have no idea who makes it. I know it tilts up with shocks or w/e and then has 2 locking keyholes on each end by the tail lights. I can let ya know in May.

Flashing Engine light on most GMs and most cars means a missfire. Pull the code and see which cylinder is missfiring and diagnose from there.

I will be picking up a 1 owner, 2005 RWD Black SS at the end of May. It was my Uncles pride and joy, but he passed away from cancer in the late 2000s. My Aunt agreed to hold the truck for me until I was ready to buy it. The truck has only 26k miles on it, and has been garage kept for over 5 years. Covered as well INSIDE of the garage. Only drove it every now and then. Truck is fully loaded with all options I believe. Truck is currently dropped but not sure exactly how much. Will probably raise it back up. It also has a color matched locking tilt up tornou cover on it as well as a Rhino Lined bed. I will be pulling the cover and selling it as I need the full use of the bed. Any ideas on what a locking tilt up black color matched cover would be worth? Once I pick it up I will be able to add Pics. Stock outside of a drop in KN filter. Plan to keep it that way outside of intake/exhaust to open it up a bit. Name is Nick and plan on utilizing this forum to the death once I get it. I know that stock trucks now adays are probably faster in some trim, but I don't give 2 shits. This truck has more sentimental value to me then most would understand and I am the definition of a GM Nutswinger lol. The truck is hand down the sexiest truck ever created and its quick and practical. It also has luxurious aspects as well so it will suit the needs of me and my wife as well as a future family. Also have a cammed out 2002 WS6 that sits in the Garage unless its nice outside. Look forward to learning from you all and I will post pictures as soon as I pick it up. I know I am jumping the gun on the post, but figured I'd intro myself as I have been lurking all week since I knew I'd be buying.

I am more then likely getting a SSS here withing a couple weeks. It is lowered, but my aunt has no idea what kit my uncle used. If I were able to get pics of w/e you all need, could you identify the drop? I am wanting to remove it and put it back at stock height. Thanks! BTW its a 2005 rwd SS less then 30k Miles. Black w/ all available options I believe. Color matched tornou cover as well. 20 inch chrome rims stock. STOKED! Cannot wait to pick it up, if we can agree on price!
