How did they fit as far as the way they lock in? I had a replacement set of lowers sent to me (first set had moisture) and they were exactly the same as the first set, they needed the inner tabs lengthened or they wouldn't stay in.

Its been years since i've even seen one on the street. Probably have my ass handed to me but i'd try my luck anyway lol

So, i'm still planning to send off my factory tune to zippy buy my buddy is a pretty busy guy so we havent had a chance to get together and extract my tune. I tried pm'ing zippy a few times this week asking about what kind of ballpark hp gains i could expect from a mostly stock SS with just a CAI so far. But i havent heard back. Anyone have any ideas what i can expect?

Its The NEW STYLE!! (headlights)
NipRing replied to NipRing's topic in Appearance, Cleaning, & Detailing
Nope, the leds are powered by the old tiny side marker light wire (the end of the led power wire is in the shape of the bottom of the old marker bulb so it plugs right in). I did however have a fogging problem with one of the lower lights and was sent a replacement set. But the fit is still the same, needs that bit of extension on the inner part like i mentioned above. -
You should probably go ahead and fill the rest of that box truck with packing peanuts...just incase lol

Um...nope. Ran across one this morning on the freeway. This was on a stretch that I've never seen any cops. Every time he tried pulling away...he had nothing. I'd shoot up to 90 and wait for him to catch up, rinse, repeat. Now I know not to waste any gas on them. But I make that 50 minute ride to and from work everyday and it's usually boring as hell. At least there was a bit of adrenaline this morning. Thanks special vehicle team lol

Lol, I can't argue that logic

I'm assuming that second pic is a shop, but damn that'd make an awesome hood in real life!!

Something like "Silverado -SRTSVTKLLR" maybe? -

For everyone hoping for new body style SS

Thats pretty cool looking. But unless it comes with the extra cab and awd/4wd, its a no go for me. Those were the deciding factors when i bought my SS. I got kids, and it snows here. No room in my life for garage/summer queens. lol -
Where can I get that exact kit?
-
That looks pretty cool. I like it when they are fully outlined with LEDs. Wonder if they do tails lights that style?

Heres a few. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/83592-it-was-sorta-like-looking-in-a-mirror/

Thats a good looking truck! Even if it is blue, lol!
-
I like mine but in your case you'd want same style only the smoked version. http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-06-SILVERADO-SMOKED-CLEAR-HEADLIGHTS-LED-TURN-SIGNAL-BUMPER-LIGHTS-SET-PAIR-/121178119036?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c36c75b7c&vxp=mtr Heres a better look at mine in action. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/83481-its-the-new-style-headlights/

I thought he said it was blue? lol

And probably a bit sad since its a SC 07 with relatively low miles heading for the chopping block

I right clicked on the question mark next to the picture and chose "copy image address" then pasted that in my browser address bar. That worked for me

I'm not seeing any vid. One picture but no video. And i have those same headlights, they look great dont they?
-
Any progress?

Thats got to be the most sinister looking SS i've seen! Awesome! I gotta get me that exact hood!

I met up with AdamVRed03 on Sunday morning. We talked SS talk for a few hours then took a few photos. Pics turned out pretty good!

That exact thing was just happening to me a week ago. Every time i put it in reverse (or drive for that matter) the rpms would drop so low and then it would die. A friend of mine who is much more of a mechanic than i am came over to help. We pulled a bunch of fuses for the pcm under the hood and took off the throttle body and gave it a good cleaning. Put it back together and it was right as rain. But i dont know exactly what the problem was in all honesty but this is what worked for me.

I dont mind the truck as much as the engine "lie". Its one thing to have a v6 and pretend to have an 8, but putting 427 right up front....no no no
