what did it do to youe MPG? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yep anout 1-2 mpg lost, plus some more cause you are on it more Riiiiiiiiiight! Took me probably about a day to do it on stands in a friend's driveway (actually a day and a half due to a rain delay). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> took Zippy, his hands, and us spectators almost 12, with running to get parts and letting the truck cool down, oh yea not on a lift...make sure you jack it high enough to clear sliding the trans out -
dealer replaced window...but now that I read this again it is PPG glass the tint border is different, oh well $270 asked them to look at the side vents ( i was told they just replace them) NO, they adjusted them and to top it off the had my truck from 7am till noon the next oh well... thanks for the help IdriveGPT

The same way I described it, a whole new truck. I called it 'tighter' with a new stall. Hold the brake and rev till bout 1800 rpm and then you will fly out check your fluid -
Thanks for sharing

Rotrex IC kit, would get you about the same as the radix, but you will be the only guy on your block with one:)
-
Fuelslut was having the same when he was on the dyno. I think he is moded like you radix, cam... he rewired the pump on the dyno to see if it was a voltage issue but it still was running lean up top. He had also replaced he pump a few times too Hit him up he might have found a solution on his way to 400hp

Would you like to drop a crate motor in?
detjoe replied to orlando's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
do you mean a better motor than the LQ9?? The alt and stuff should be able to switch over to the new motor, motor mounts should be good, Intakes would be different, possible throttle (drive by wire or not) the 408 is hardly decable by the dealer, all the covers and such fit if you go different hand have a car intake then you will be in for more work like Ben has been doing. I have read you could drop any gas engine into our truck, it is just the cost and Hp you get that makes people think, hey its just cheapere to put the 408 in instead of selling my kids for an LS-7 -
your back needs to be toward the sun, you could have gotten better results if you had a slightly different angle, but the shadow is a nice effect

yea, comon Mervzs...I know you guys got some good shots!
