  1. I have been meaning to look this up on HPT.com and see if there is any help for you...but the kids just started hockey and I have this problem (I forget tuning in the winter :()

thanks for the update, hope it is a simple part swap

  2. Its just an easy way to get a little more valve lift and duration without going through all the work of a cam swap. Yes you will see some gains but should get a tune to get the full potential. While your in there you might as well upgrade the springs and retainers.

and if you do all that you should just get a cam and not have a ton of stress on your valuetrain...
  3. The 3.7 is n/a the 3.5 is turboed. It just drives me crazy thinking a n/a scsb v6 can keep up with a stock SS. Kinda nuts really.

do you know the ET of a camery?? (tip: dont find out :))

Those eco-boost engines are cool as shit...place here is getting them(eco boost tarus/flex) into tthe 12's with tune, CAI and exhaust....but the parts are crazy, the diameter of the eco-boost manifold is the size of a quarter!

  4. I lost my first egr plug on the way to meet up with a few memebrs here, ended up on the side of the road found a blot that I forced in and it has been there since.

I think the hardware is for the collectors and not the head studs, but it has been a lont time since I out mine on...I used old spark plugs to fill the extra o2 bung holes too, alot cheaper than buying actual bung plugs.

I re-used my oe gaskets and they have been fine since then (two years maybe) just dont mess with the layers or bend them...good lcuk with the install

  5. did you try and bench test the TB with a volt meter to see if you can force it to give you a shitty voltage?? I hate bad parts :( Just went thru this with a project and I was running into crap and it ended up being my 'new' part.

    good luck

  6. I want to make an injector test stand cleaning tool, I have read thats it rather easy (battery and some sprak cleaner and a test tube) and would be cool to have for a situation like this. I drive my truck and am hesitant about doing a stroker( I have the spare build engine too!) and just the down time...but I loook forward to how your build turns out.

  7. I need tires bad. I am looking at the Michilen X radial and the bridgestone duler...I am leaning toward the more expensive michilen b/c it has a 70K warranty. Any other good durable all season tires I should consider??

I am looking at $216-$240 ea. w/o mounting Ouch.

I am gonna go back to on-line tire shopping :)

  8. Granada Hills, alright cool I'll text chpspecial. would you know if he tunes via dyno? or chipset/handheld?

He uses EFI live and knows his shit. dyno is a tool, it can help but a good tuner will be good on the street. I like to think the street tuning gives you better drive-ability b/c you are tuning in the exact conditions.

I would get your handheld unlocked and then you could use it too run two tunes, but I bet if you had a good tune in it you would just rock it till you want more power or break some junk
