  1. About 5 months ago I had some blood work done and a stress test and echo cardiogram. The stress test and echo cardiogram came back with great results. My blood work came back with high chlosterol.

I didn't pay any attention about the high chlosterol because the other test came back so good.

This last friday at 2:30 in the afternoon I started having chest pains. It kinda felt like bad indigestion. I went to the emergency room at the encouragement of a co-worker.

To make a long story short I just got released from the hospital today. I had a mild heart attack from 90% blockage in one artery and 55% in another. They put a stint in the worst one and I have to have the other one done in three weeks.

I'm 45 years old, consider myself somewhat heathy and go to the gym regularly.

So my advice is to pay attention to your doctor about chlosterol and things like that. I'm lucky that I was able to get imediate treatment for my symptons.

  2. 10.5" it is a 3 disc lock and its a 3000 stall. I ran it for about 150 miles total. I had it restalled once and due to my cam the 3000 isn't high enough for me. I ended up going with at 9.5 and a higher stall. This would work great with a Radix. I paid a little over 1100 for it and I want to get $800+shipping.

    Hmmmm.........

  3. I have had a starange occurance hapen twice now. When the temperatures get @ 95 degrees outside and my feul level gets at 1/4 tank or less my truck acts like it is running out of gas and stalls at stop lights.

A fill up has been the cure both times it has happened.

I have the walbro 255 installed an have experience the normal cavitation that occurs with i get on it at 1/4 tank or less. But this new problem occurs as I come to a stop.

Anyone have a suggestion as to why this might be happening?

  4. Sadly I think it's time for my SS to find a new home. As much as I love it, it has become imporactible for my daily driving habits. I'm racking too many miles to fast on it. I'm current at 89,000. Nada list this as a 1,200 deduct in value.

IM LOOKING FOR SOME HELP IT PUTTING A FAIR PRICE ON IT.

Check out my mods and suggest a fair price.

    All help is appreciated

  5. Not trying to hijack your thread Frank but isn't tuning necessary when adding headers. If you don't retune what's the point of adding a more free flowing exhaust. I was under the assumption, based on what I have read on here that they go hand in hand.

keep in mind that to get alot of gain out of your headers you are going to want some programming work done.

  6. How can you feel they are ripping you off when the accepted YOUR offer of $21,000.00? If I were you, I would call them 1st thing in the morning and take the deal.

If not, I'm sure someone else will realize a good deal when they see it.

I have worked with car dealers every day for the last 16 years, and I have seen so many people pass on deals that are so good, even I think about buying whatever it is because I know a good deal when I see one.

That is exactly how I came across my SS. A friend of mine that owns a Dodge dealership took it on trade with 3100 miles, and I knew the price he gave me was good when it was close to $15,000 off the sticker price. The day I went in to pick it up, there was a wholesaler there offering him $500.00 more than what I paid.

I guess my point is, they gave you the price you offered, so step up and do the deal now!!

I agree. You negoiated an offer of 21,xxxx they accepted. I guess I don't understand the issue. All the prices in between was part of the negoiation.

  7. Thought I would share what happen to me today.

I live in Michigan and we had snow flurries and 28 degree temps. I left one of my project sites and was headed back to the office wen I start feeling a weird vibration. After a minute the vibration went away but the DIC was flashing Battery Not Charging. I mmediately knew what happened. I blew a belt.

Luckily, I carry a spare. I didn't have any tools but managed to get it on. It was a cold MOFO out and I was really thankful that I had the spare. I had it on and back on the road withing 5 minutes.

I went to the parts store tonight and bought another belt and put an old ratchet handle in my truck for next time. I'll be totally prepared next time.

This is the first time I have had any belt problems. I also changed the tensioner while I was at it tonight, I picked up one made by Carquest. It looks like the Goodyear tensioner. I had to drill the hole bigger in the bracket that the tensioner bolts to, but that was an easy task.

Anyway, If you don't currently carry a spare belt, I recomend getting one.
