  1. I posted last week that I put a set of Kumho STX on my SS. After a week of driving on them I think they suck............

I had them forced balanced and they still suck. That was after I had a dealer check my ujoints cause I was getting a bad vibration.

It was cold here today and I left my truck parked all day. When I left work to go home the steering wheel was shaking like they had flat spots on them.

    Here are my choices:

    1. They still have my used Goodyear LS maybe i'll put them back on.

    2. I have 1 band new goodyear LS, maybe I'll buy 3 more.

    2. The suggested Michelin tires. What the concensus of these?

Any suggestions? Remember I live in Michigan and need a good all season tire that still grips at the track.

  2. I went to discount tire tonight to get my tires balanced. I noticed that they had a set of 305/50/20 Kumhos sitting there. I asked what was up with them and the salesman tells me that they were on a suv for a day and the guy didnt like them because they were to big.

To make a long story short. I got all 4 mounted, balanced, siped with road hazard warranty out the door for $375.00.........

  3. Hey all, finally got around to Introducing myself.  I have a 03 red AWD SS with 36,000 miles that is hands down the best truck ever designed. I have only put a K&N cold air intake on it and plan on doing allot more.

There are not to many SS trucks in Tulsa Oklahoma. I got my  license plate that reads STOUTSS, now I just need to add some bolt ons to reinforce the stoutness  . I also have a collection of

79-81 trans ams. I am looking forward to hear where to program this thing and what type of super charger to get. This site is great.

Welcome to the site. I grew up in Broken Arrow, OK

  4. I agree. I don't think a single one that has been installed is opening 100%. However a 90mm still should flow more than a 78mm even if it's not opening all the way. I wouldn't spend the money on the WCCH j-jube conversion, but i might do the BigTex conversion this winter. I already have a SSR 90mm tb, just need the tac module & speartec harness.

  5. Update......

The M11 event was alot of fun. It was nice to meet other members from the site. I don't think we could have had better weather.

My comments: Popeye, I was impressed with your times..

ImposterSS...If you can get your truck to hook you will be FAST.

Zippy......Thanks for tweaking tunes while you were there.

    TJ......Nice to see ya man.....

Frank.....Always good talking to you. I'll be seeing you this winter.

Let's use this thread to post any pictures.
