  1. To the best of my understanding when we talk about brightness and temperature (relating to lighting) it's apples and oranges. For example the SSUs I'm referring to are advertised at 4000k (white, between yellow and blue) but I'm not sure of luminosity (higher than standard, but lower than HIRs). I'm pretty sure the HIR bulbs will be brighter ( higher luminosity) but have a color around 3200k (yellowish). The SSUs may appear to be as bright as HIR bulbs, but this is only because they have a cooler temperature. I guess it's all a matter of preference, light output and/or color. Oh, and they don't make SSUs in the 9011 or 9012 HIR bulb so I just have to choose one or the other.

  2. OK, sort of a thread jack but...

I'm trying to decide between HB3 and HB4 SilverStar Ultra bulbs or doing the HIR bulb retrofit. I really like the 4000k white color of the SSU bulbs, but I think the HIR bulbs are brighter. Distracted - or anyone else that knows what I'm talking about, what do you think? SSU HB3/4s or HIRs?

  4. I believe that on the bottom right corner of the Silverado SS poster GM put out it reads:

Silverado SS -bowtie- 'Like A Rock'

I plan on bolting 1.5 carats on her finger, so now I can save to bolt on 150hp. Hello supercharger!

I got my rock, she has hers. :)

  5. I shipped a set of Dodge Ram 20" wheels once that I sold on ebay. Two wheels + padding will fit perfectly into a uhaul microwave/large appliance box. Go online and check the pice to ship that box with the weight of two wheels + 2 lbs for box and packing via FedEx saver, and you'll be surprised to find that it should be around $80 if not less for each box. Do a little homework and get back to me, better yet please send me pictures so I can see the condition of the wheels.
