  1. I was going to go with the avic4200 nex but from what I have read the maps aren't stored on the unit, there's something else you have to buy to view them all so I think I'm gonna end up going with the avic8200 nex. Do you have a part number or model number for the pac adapter you used?

The 4200NEX has no navigation. Depending on your phone (Iphone or Android) it gets the info off of the phone. Look up the unit. I am more than pleased with the radio. It also was due to using an android phone that I was able to use a wireless Microsoft adapter and connect it to the HDMI connection on the radio. Everything that I can see on my phone I can now see it on the radio's screen.

    I used the PAC RP5-GM11 which I got on eB@y .

  2. Don't understand why someone would get rid of the lights when the fix is so simple. About $35 on Amazon and this is the correct one for our trucks:

In the older truck days of GMT400's (88-98 body style) there's a very easy hack that costs nothing to modify the original flasher, but it's a different part and I don't know if it applies to the ones used in GMT800's. The timer IC on the circuit board has one pin you can cut loose and it kills the "bulb out warning" function, or in other words, hyperflash. Done it numerous times. The flasher used in the 800's probably has the same timer chip, just didn't take the time to pop the cover to investigate.

Purchased this same relay recently on Amazon. Works great..Just wish they would make these damn relays a little quieter..

Is this the same part number for a 2006 ISS? I am going crazy trying to figure out which is the correct one...

  4. Would appreciate if anyone with an Outlaw CAI on there SS would take a few pics or if possible scan for me the installation instructions. I recentley purchased one off of a member, but for the life of me I can't figure the install out. Okay, I found the instructions online. But some clear photos would be great.

    Thanks

  5. I just found out there is a column bearing that has been known to cause the bump issue, has anyone else replaced one or is it mainly the shaft?

I recently replaced the column bearing and steering shaft. Extremely simple to do. I ran into no issues. Once completed the steering tighten up and I no longer had any bumps, noises etc.
