Bob,
Sorry to hear about your Dad.
You're right, mine's an A. I don't know anyone into T's. I can give you the name of the appraiser I've used.
Beyond that, Your best bet might be to contact someone in a local chapter of a Model T club. The old guys
in the Model A club know everything about their cars and are always willing to share their knowledge.
I'm sure the Model T guys will be the same way.
Good luck!

I've been working alot with Sunday being my only day off.
Put me down as a firm "maybe".

Vince,
I believe Motor City Speed in Walled Lake has the old W2W dyno.
Here's a link: http://www.motorcityspeedonline.com/

I plan to be in Pontiac all day Friday & Saturday and might be at the Moose Preserve at Square Lake & Woodward Thursday evening with the turbo Buick guys.

im going to be wiring it up to the brake pedal.
I considered wiring mine to the brake pedal but decided durability might be an issue. I recommend you leave the solenoid in place without powering it. It takes additional effort to shift into reverse but not an objectional amount. I have plenty of leverage with the long stick but a friend did the same thing in his Mustang Cobra with a short stick and it works great.
-
I'm curious - How are you going to wire the reverse lock-out solenoid?

Looks Good!

One real, one not.

Is this Kurt's truck? The guy who helped build the SS prototype...
Keep in mind that the early Silverado SS prototype's started life as GMC Sierra's. They were available with the 6.0-AWD before the Silverado's so that's what W2W used.
Kurts red turbo SSS (not the concept truck) is actually a GMC.

If it's an extended cab it would be considered a clone if you did the cladding & bumper cover.
If it's a regular cab with everything it would be a PHANTOM.
A clone duplicates something that already exists (like building a GTO from a LeMans or a Yenko Camaro from a base Camaro).
A PHANTOM is something that was never available from the factory (like a '67 Nova convertible).

How does a man tell another man "You have a great looking back side" without him taking it wrong. LOL
Thanks, whichever way you meant it.

For those who haven't seen the back:
-
That's the Chevrolet Concept that I patterned my truck after.
I decided that cutting off the back of my chassis and replacing it with the coil spring back half was more than I wanted to do in my garage.
The rest of my build is close to that truck including the cloth seats. Mine does have a few more creature comforts (including carpet) and a Rotrex supercharger.
The RST roll pan is a poor imitation of the one on the concept. Mine is a modified BSER pan.

Def on of my faves. How difficult was that rear end swap and what benefits is it over the leaf spring setup? been meaning to ask you for a while lol.
Ditto, I am really want to do the swap.
My truck still has the leaf springs. What made you think I'd changed it?

u can bolt it ,rivet it, or mold it on..... i do know its not a perfect bolt on bc he makes them from scratch but still worth every penny
They're not a perfect bolt-on because every SS is different.
They're designed with enough extra material to be custom fit to each truck.

Wow! Just Wow!

Congratulations on TOTM! It's good to see another PHANTOM win.
-
yup, it would look really good (imo) with the 2 vents in the front and the exhaust like that in the back
Chevrolets RCSB Silverado SS concept truck had a roll pan with the exhaust tips to match the front ducts. That look can be duplicated using the BSER rollpan.
-
what is the difference between a roll pan and a BSER roll pan?? there is a guy here in town that can get a roll pan for $200, I don't know where he gets them from but I could ask him and he also paints them.
The difference is the BSER roll pan is one of only 2 made that's designed to fit the SS body cladding.

I think the best one out there is still the Hallmark Christmas ornament.
There's currently 18 of them on ebay.
Sorry the photos aren't better. There are several more versions made by Matchbox.

If my memory is correct it's between 11 & 12 mile on the east side. Closer to 12 mile.
There's an O'Reilly's (former Murray's) at Woodward & 11 1/2 mile on the east side with a large parking lot in the rear.
Could that be the one?
-
Are you still parking with the Impala club near pontiac? Not sure where I am parking Sat. Probably just get there 6ish and find someplace near 11-12 mile. Be in the SSS.
Anyone wanna meet up along the way message me your number.
This year on Friday & Saturday I'll be with some of the guys from Yellowbullet.com. They rented a lot in Pontiac on the south end of the Woodward loop on the southbound side.
Where exactly is the Autozone on Woodward with the big lot?
-
I'll be there in my Impala SS.
I haven't missed one yet!

Josh,
I'll be across the street from you at Lighthouse of Oakland County like the last few years. I'll look for you.
