  1. I can see where this setup was a problem as it would stick out 1/2" farther than the SS reps with the +30 offset.
  2. Thank you guys for replying so quickly and confirming the 22x10 +30mm offset does actually fit our 03-06 trucks. I will be contacting the vendor about their questioning the fitment of the SS reps even though they come up as an option when you search for wheels specific to my truck. Fast4popper, are your 29 and 22 offset wheels 10" or 9.5" wide? As you know an offset without a width does not mean much. Thanks for the help!
  3. What offset 22"x10" SSS Rep is everyone putting on their SS Silverados with 305/40/22 tires? It may seem like a silly question but I'm getting conflicting information. I ordered 22x10" SS reps in a +30mm offset and they are telling me the offset is tucked in too much and I will have rubbing on the inside of my stock height '03 Silverado SS. But isn't that the same size and offset everyone else with reps is running on their trucks? They are telling me I need a +15 to +20mm offset for my truck. They claim the +30mm offset is only for 2007 and up trucks. Is this true? I'm guessing the wheels are not in stock and they are hoping I will just order something else. Please help me end the confusion on the +30mm offset. Thanks!
  4. Got it, Thanks!! I had that noisy fan out in less than 2 min with your tips. I lubricated the fan shaft and the motor bushing and popped it right back into place in no time. It was quiet right after I reinstalled it, but I'll test it in the morning after sitting in the cold garage overnight at 20 deg, that is the true test. FYI (to help others with the same problem) the part is called an ASPIRATOR any my part number is 15029252 ($23 @ GM parts direct) that has been replaced by part number 25771194 ($28 @ GM parts direct). I also took some pictures of the parts during disassembly to help fellow SSS members out.
  5. Are you talking about the plastic circular grill with the holes in it that is right above your head? (looks like a speaker grill) Remove that first from the bottom side of the headliner before reaching above the headliner to remove the fan assembly? If so do I just pull on the grill piece or is there any twisting or prying involved? As for the headliner it's good to hear I do not have to remove the A-Pillar trim or the driver's side sun visor to get enough space above the headliner to reach my arm in and get to the fan assembly. Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it!!
  6. Could you please elaborate on just how to remove the fan so I can lube the shaft and get rid of the cold morning buzz? What all did you do to get above the headliner to remove the fan? Remove trim, whole headliner, or just loosed the drivers side headliner? Any tips or pictures would be appreciated.
  7. I have the one with the bulbus resonator growth looking think on the inlet tube and it whistles under moderate acceleration.
  8. Nice car but I agree paint the lower silver trim black and get a custom EFILive tune to wake that sucker UP!! It is amazing what you can do with a little timing adjustment, shift point adjustments and reduction of the performance robbing torque management.
  9. Glen, welcome and do you have any pictures of the bruhed silver emblems installed on a Silverado SS truck you can post up? Maybe on a red truck by chance? Close up and a little farther back at different angles? Greg
  10. Yep, that pretty much sums it up.>>>>>>
  11. It says Bonspeed right on the centercap. Nice wheels BTW.
  12. Seriously, I don't want this to become a "Mine Is better than your muffler" kind of post. I just wanted to give people something to look at ....... ah....... pretty pictures. Besides on my stock 6.0L It doesn't really matter if one flows another 5 or 10 cfm over another right? So this post is obviously not for guys like yourself with mega engine mods. It's all good though. ;)
