That is the size of my tires. We havnt had it on a dyno yet either so I am hoping that will help too.

I dont have the specs on the cam with me, I was at steele,al.
-
oh and I was only running 6300 shift points today too. I am going to up it to 6800-6900 next week and start putting the n2o on.

awd with flp level 5 trans. Motor is a c5r 7.0 427 ci, fast 90 intake, ls2 90 t.b., et performance heads, 11.5 to 1 comp and a big cam. The track wasnt prepped today, I was doing john force burnouts from just in front of the water box thu the stagging lane trying to get the tires to hook. I spin once about 100 ft and I am running nitto drag radials on all 4s.

Still working on the tune but ran a 12.14 at 109mph. I still have problems with traction but had a 1.64, 1.68 and 1.69 60 ft. I also run 12.16 and 12.20 at 110. I let the air down but just couldnt get it to hook. Also only shifting at 6300 rpms, next time it will be more like 6700. Oh I was running thu the mufflers. I opened the cutouts and run the 12.16. Temps was low 60s at the track. I want to run high 11s on motor b/f I hook the bottle up. Maybe next time.

Cant run a dry kit if the maf if maxed.......
-
On motor it was pulling 570# air thur the maf b/f I changed it to speed density. I did a run from 2k and gas on it and did 0-100mph in 10.8 and 89mph in 8 sec. I think it should do better but wasnt getting the rpms up to what it needs. I may go to a 1/8 mile track tomm night if the weather is good. I would like to run 7.6s on motor but that may be a dream. I will only be able to run a wet kit since I am so close to maxing the maf.

Its a c5r 427 ci all forged, et performance 245 heads, 11.4 to 1 comp., fast 90 intake, ls2 90 t.b. I put a set of 30# injectors just to get it running and going to install 60#s in a week or so. I just got back from the muffler shop and has a couple of problems. The abs light came on and now the abs pump runs all the time now. The check engine light came on when I was driving up on the rack and I think it will be b/c of open exhuast but will check in a few. I did gas on it one time up to about 6k rpms and it runs pretty damn good. I will be getting it tuned next week and hopefully the week after maybe driving around alittle. Track time on all motor if I am lucky in 3 weeks.

Well after 6 months without a truck I started the new motor tonight. I am going to do alittle more work on the intake tube and go for a ride to the muffler shop tomm. Changing over to a fast intake and ls2 t.b was more work than I expected with fuel lines and stuff. We got it ready to start and turned over fine but wasnt firing, done some more checking and the cam and crank sensor wasnt reading anything. Come to find out after 3 hrs looking that a ground was left off. What a good feeling when it started. I am ready to drive it and do some tuning. Thanks for the how to on aftermarket fuel rails turbochargedberserker. That was a great help. I dont know how much difference in weight b/t the alum. motor and iron motor but the front of the truck looks awfull high. I think I will need a alingment. I got the idle down to 900rpms and with open exhuast it sounds great.

Would these heads be good for 408?
2bseen replied to dounome's topic in Engine Tech And Modification
I think it would be a good idea to go with stage 3 patriot or something like that. I have had very good luck with the stage 2 heads but everybody knows that it would help for sure. I had a set of ets ordered to go on that motor but changed them to the ones for my 427 motor. -
I finally have my motor setting in the truck now and started putting the acces. on it. So far I have had no problem with the change over. I ordered the speartech bracket, a 97 vette water pump from napa with bolt on pulley. I had to space out the w.p. pulley 1" to get it to line up right. The speartech bracket works great and was very easly. I had to get new injector connectors to fit the car injectors. I am hoping to have everything but the fuel system done within a week. Then comes the hard part plumping the fuel up, I have fast rails, fpr and a bunch of fitting but I have been thinking about changing to returnless system and maybe that would make it easier. I think that part is much harder to do than the brackets. Good luck

great times and awesome 60ft..

you will need injectors and a tune for sure. It would also need a stall with this cam. I dont know about install price I do most of the work myself.
-
we have sold about 20 eagle cranks and had no problems. The cam is 238/242 605/615 113 lsa
-
No problems at all, I am installing a c5r 427ci motor now.

This is the motor out of my truck that ran 7.9s in the 1/8 and 12.7s in the 1/4 N/a. It has 7k miles on it and about 20 passes. Mahle n2o coated pistons, callies rods, eagle crank. It has patriot stage 2 ls6 heads and 10.5 compression ratio. I will take $4200 plus shipping. It is out of the truck and ready to sell.

What did the volant air system come off of or ordered for to fit the 90mm t.b.?
-
I forgot about that wiring harness going over the top of the motor, I will have to do something about that.
