  1. Yeah I actually have all my parts already though....
  2. Still for sale guys. Somebody local give me $600 and its yours.
  3. Yeah especially with that guy chase.....I heard he's a "REAL FLAMER".
  4. Show me a civic or focus that runs 7's 8's or 9's that's STREET LEGAL. I can agree with you somewhat that the viper looks more aggresive and more exotic, but as far as chevy dropping the ball I disagree. If I remember correctly there where waiting lists up to a year and half before the z06 was even released (some dealers had up to 50 names on the list) so they obviously did something right to appeal to the public. To be honest I really dont think buyers care that the z06 looks almost the same as a stock c6....its a totally race inspired car....especially for the money. What other car can you buy for 65-70K off the show room floor that can spank 90% (if not more) of the exotics in the world? That's including the viper. It might not beat it by much in the 1/4 but take it on a road course and see what happens. Dont get me wrong, the viper is a BAD ASS car that I could only dream of having, but they really apeal to different crowds IMO. Bottom line is, the z06 and the upcoming blue devil are true race inspired cars and chevy will have no problem selling as many as they want. I really cant see anything coming close to the blue devil as far as performance goes. That's why they will sell and that's why real car people will turn there heads and say "holy shit did you see that" when it goes by........will the average person say that.....probably not. So if that's really what you want buy a porshe or a ferrari or even a viper etc.....that's there calling card. As far as the c6's go, yeah they are a dime a dozen but I wouldn't leave the 300's out of that catagory either. Now if your talking about 300 srt-8's or z06's that's a little different....dont see those to often, but both look very simular to there little brothers. The z06 however is quite different than the c6. There's much more to a car than looks and the engine.
  5. Not sure what articles you read but the tall deck will be capable of 511ci (4.25" bore 4.5"stroke) compared to the standard block which can go to 482ci (4.25" bore and 4.25" stroke). IMO its not even worth waiting for the tall deck. Going with an overized stroke is just not my style though. JMO though...
  6. Man if I dont make it to this event im probably going to shoot myself.
  7. Not sure if it would be apple vs. apple if cost was a factor, but there is no doubt that is a badass car and exceptionally fast. Im sure with the new warhawk block and the lsx block we will see some c5's and c6's in the 7's in the near future if there isn't already . I just read an article about a new lsx making 930hp N/A.....Cant wait to see an extreme turbo setup on one of these blocks.....Its supposed to be able to handle upword of 2000 hp ive heard.
  8. No but it will go 8.9 in the quarter. Lingenfelter vette
  9. My guess would be that the new viper vs. the z06 would be a close race with the viper barely edging the z06 because of the extra weight the viper carries. My guess is the blue devil or the corvette ss will have no problem spanking that ass though.
  10. How much does the ipod kit sell for new? Also does it include everthing needed?
  11. Yeah for those numbers im gonna say the sizing should be pretty big.
  12. Looks like a great turnout and a hell of a time. I will most definately be at the next meet with my truck hopefully.
  13. You must mean 700fwhp.....that's what I am shooting for with my 454lsx. 700hp to the wheels would be like 850+fwhp and you aint gettin that unless you spend 30k on the motor.
  14. To be honest, there's about 20 combos that will get you to where you want. Trouble is trying to pick the right one for you. One option would be to start of with the lsx block and go big bore small stroke. Something like a 4.2" bore (leaves plenty of material for rebuild, lsx max bore=4.25") and a stock size 3.62" bore yeilding 402ci. CR in the low 9's:1. Throw some ET performance ls7 heads on there (have added deck strength also have a six bolt head option for the lsx block) along with the new 2.8L KB blower and a solid valve train, rev that thing past 7k and I would definately think you could hit 10's. Keep the awd and do the 4L80 swap. You might be closer to 30k with that setup but it would be pretty damn stout. Or you could go a much cheaper route Like I am and go lsx block 454, 11:1 cr, build it for nitrous, do the 4L80 swap and should also run solid 10's Depending on your nitrous shot. Like I said earlier, theres probably 20 other combos you could consider, you just gotta start researching and asking alot of questions and try and figure out which route is best suited for you.
  15. John, are you sure that your rims arent +40mm offset? On Boss wheels website it only lists a +12, +14, and a +40 offset for the boss 313's.
  16. Im trying to go with something a little different.
  17. Going with the 06 body style hood/grille.
  18. This hood is brand new freshly painted (victory red) and never installed. Paid $375 for hood and $500 to get it painted from a very reputable shop and im asking $600 for it because I need the money. I will not ship the hood, but i will consider delivering it to you if your within 90 miles of me for an additional cost that would depend on how far away you are. I will be listing the hood on ebay in two days if it does not sell here. Let me know if you have any questions. Heres some pictures of the hood.
  19. Just thought i would throw my parents 2002 suburban on here to see if anyone is interested. All the info is in the ebay add, but if you have any questions feel free to ask. There have been several members on here (supersport, 04chase, jonmalibuss, chpspecial) that have all been in the truck and have seen how well my parents take care of there cars. Hopefully they will chim in and vouch for me. Here's the link to the add. 2002 suburban
