No the 6.2L has VVT=Variable Valve Timing. There is no Displacement on Demand offering yet. BTW gas mileaqe is ok. A good 15% better than Ford or Dodge for that matter.

Wasn't me but come to think of it my brother was using my truck around the time. Were the wheels oe or aftermarket? Tint?

I turn them off by moving the headlight switch to the left. A small orange idiot light warns me they're off. OK the idiot light is tiny.

I believe it is held on with double sided tape. Just use the search function as I recall a thread dealing with installation.

If they do remove the convertors take them with you.

Hey Fast05SS just go by Jesse's on old 83 there in San Juan and ask for Rigo the owner. He's got good service and a real good welder there by the name of Chuy and they'll fabricate a good custom exhaust for you. You won't get a better price unless you shop his brother's place 3 Star Muffler in Mission. Ask for Juan and don't speak to Santiago because he's an azz and will stick it to you $$$$$ wise. BTW don't let them take off your convertors unless you've got a hook up at an inspection station.

Yes very good info gentlemen.

Damn I've heard it all now. -
I think the changer took a dump. Take it to your dealer they should fix it under warranty.

Exactly! How else could you explan dropping the Camaro/Firebird in favor of an SSR and now having to play catchup to Ford's Mustang. GM's management bites.

Voted.

Sumitomo has a 285/50/20. Don't have them on my SS but have some 275/40/17 on a 92 Vette and they're pretty good for the money.

different size speakers in back doors?

6.5's will work in back. Just gotta do some cutting. -
If you have a drink or two and get behind the wheel I would not recommend tinting the tails. Here in Hidalgo Co. the cops will use it as probable cause to stop you and lo and behold if you've been drinking.... You know what I mean. Not worth the attention it'll draw at least not in my neck of the woods. Doesn't help that the county leads TX in # of DUI's.

Go with the 4Runner. Easily the best resale value of the bunch your looking at and as a whole alot less problems.

Anybody else see a big jump in gas prices yesterday?
lgetz replied to SSThunder's topic in Off-Topic/General
Gas went up a dime $2.89/gallon for premium today from yesterday. Wasn't the Iran/Britian deal resolved? Anyway I guess I'l just use the Passat. -
WHEW! That Z-06 is a beast!

Here in TX they're also introducing points systems for violations and accidents. People will be paying a surcharge to have a DL. I've heard of 2 persons getting arrested because they had paid their fine but they were not aware of the surcharge and thus a warrant was issued for their arrest. So my advice is put a leash on that puppy or use a V-1 and a digital scanner.

I believe the remote only unlocks the cover unless you put on some linear actuators like I have lying around somewhere.

Go with the AC OE spark plugs and wire set. Use only AC or Wix air and fuel filters. Check your tire pressures to make sure they are around 35lbs or so. Finally don't haul around big gorillas like myself. Go with the AC OE spark plugs and wire set. Use only AC or Wix air and fuel filters. Use Zymol Leather Cleaner and their Leather Conditioner. Just follow the directions and I recommend applying the conditioner by hand and leaving it overnight.
