  1. well, just take it back to '85 and be king! Man, I was 16 that summer... No Delorean for this kid. Although a time machine would be cool.
  2. enough power to burn 1 tire alittle..... i think we're all trembling alittle
  3. Doubt we'll ever see any truely nice rides on there. Nature of the beast I suppose. Drivetrain competition in inconsequential boxes. I've heard a girl raced. That'll be a first for the show.
  4. Very wild looking but the bike sits so low with the bottom cylinder's valvetrain all of an inch above grinding at a standstill. One bump on the street, compressing the fork, or an inclined entrance and the smooth machining is gonna get road rash. Definitely a trailer queen.
  5. I highly doubt the assertions of staging or scripted outcomes by the show. As I have stated, I know one of those that competed this past weekend. I have no doubt that he would not have been involved in such a scenario. Trust me, you don't pull this guy's strings. As to the "do they or don't they sell back?" I looked at the Pinks website and watched his FAQ vid. He states "Racers lose cars. That's the reality of this show. People keep asking me "Do people really lose cars?" Yes they do but here's the deal, by law, the racer who wins the other racer's car can do whatever they want with it. One second after the cameras stop rolling, one second after I hand them the title, those racers can give the car back, sell the car back, burn the car at the track, sell the car on ebay. That's not up to me but when they're racing on the show, they're racing for titles. They sign the titles over to me and I award them to the racer who performed the most adequately on the show." Seems rather clear to me that, yes, the winner could sell the car back to the loser if they so choose. But that would be between those racers. So they aren't deceiving anyone when they state and display the awarded winner receiving the vehicle at the end. No different really then a "Price is Right" contestant selling some car or boat they won afterwards. It's their's to do with as they want.
  6. ok, now this is starting to give me a complex
  7. I'll have to remember to look for the duct tape. lol Who knows when the next season will air? Definitely wanna see the races my friend ran. I wondered what happened to ya Orion. No-one had posted on the other thread since me. Think I'm a thread killer. They always die after I post.
  8. Now if they did a new build of a 69 it might be interesting. Of course for me that would have to be with all new parts, from the chassis up and a modern drivetrain (resto-mods rule). I personally think the magazine publishers should just go digital. It could be done better than a printed mag but even if they decided to it would get screwed up somehow. I stopped all my mag subscriptions last year. The truck oriented ones are basically advertiser catalogs with a couple pages of articles. whoopie Sounds like your in for a boring life for a while. Maybe after this guy's ideas fall flat you'll get a shot at leading. Good luck.

    PINKS

Wonder where Orion's at? I've heard a couple details thru sources of things (second hand) but wanted to directly hear an eyewitness observer's thoughts experiences. While I still love that pic, he is nice guy off camera. I can certainly see the things done for entertainment value. The dramatic music and key handover bit and his intro playing for the camera, it is TV afterall. Now the sponsor plugs grate on my nerves almost immediately. All I can guarantee the producers is that any and all of those products/companies go straight to the bottom of my shopping choices if not completely off the list. (side note, Pop-Up advertisers online, yeah you a-hole, go straight to the 'never buy any product from them file!)(side-side note lol, My never buy list will include that McGaughy dumbass talked of in the other thread.) I personally have never cared much for the negotiations i've seen on there. For many of them it boils down to how much of a bold face lyer are you. I'd never bet on a race like a traditional street racer type does. I find no enjoyment wagering money with people who's day job has to be in used car sales. But that is the drama that keeps many watching. I end up missing programs when i start channel hopping because of it. This week sometime I may get to directly talk with people who watched the racing and some involved in it. Man I hope there aren't gag orders or any of that crap.

Yeah they are racing this weekend. I know a load of people that went down there yesterday. I could have gone but find most of the people and antics on Pinks rather lame. Love that pic!
