the radio cage is what physically holds the radio to the dash. if you remove the instrument panel bezel you will see the radio and the ac control unit clipped in or bolted to the radio cage. just unbolt/remove the ac controls and radio and drill out the two rivets in the back of the radio cage and put it in the mail for me ... let me know how much and where to send the money of course...

So you want the whole instrument panel, I can remove the one piece and save on shipping but have to charge you for the whole item because it worthless after I remove a component from it. $150 plus shipping.

  2. do you have any factory GM silver painted wheels in good shape ???

    I need 1 but I would buy 2 570-239-6422 Pete

Gonna keep them, my new sss came with American Racing rims, they are AR683 Casino, stock size, 35 degree offset in chrome, link: http://www.americanracing.com/wheels/?wheelid=AR1361&siteid=1&groupid=3 I also have a set of Helo HE866, stock size, 30 degree offset in gloss black with the chrome and black trim kits, link: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=Helo&wheelModel=HE866&wheelFinish=Black+Painted

I'm planning on get the stock rims powder coated black for the new truck. Both sets of wheels are up for sale. The AR's have a little chrome chipping, good shape overall, $250 plus shipping. The Helo's are about a year old with a couple of small scratches (black shows everything, very hard to keep clean), giving them away at $300 plus shipping. No tires included on both sets, better for shipping and I live near Philadelphia. PM me if your interested.

  3. I don't know if the motor is for sale because he said in the 2nd or 3rd post up he wants to keep the seats and drive train. Good luck. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

Thanks kiss, I'm keeping the engine. Going to extrude hone the intake, heads and exhaust, then beef it up for a turbo or supercharger. Trying to get 600 or 700 hp out of this engine without spending too much. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  4. Just some news I wanted to share with you guys. I just bought another SS, a 2004 with 80,000 miles on it. Not too bad for what I had, now comes my customizing. I have a competition stereo system that is going in, I'll have to post some of the custom work I have done to the old and putting in the new truck. First things first, rip everything out and dynamat, ensolite and insulate every nook and cranny. That's the majority of the install that takes time and patience. Here's some pics of the install from the old truck, there are unistrut pieces epoxy welded to the back wall and dynamated for the custom made amp rack from an old boat aliuminum gas tank that I cut up, sanded, buffed and polished to a mirror finish. The rear seat was modified to move forward 2" and lifted up 2" along with the fold down mod by repositioning the hooks, done for the two JL 10W6V2 custom made sub boxes and the room behind for the amps and accessories. Added a dual alternator bracket with a 350 high output Nations alternator, all 1/0 wiring in sealtight. Custom made battery box mounted under the bed with pieces of 1/4" flat stock steel spanning the floor pan and 3/8" carriage bolted through to the box, all stainless steel hardware and holding a Kinetic HC2400. Bunch of other customized items that I'll show you guys later, all made from the old gas tank. 5. Is whole truck still for sale minus the seats?

I just sold the first item, the gauge cluster to 2tone06ss for $175. I'm going to keep it and part out most of the truck because I just bought another one and want some spare parts. The main parts I want to keep are the seats and the drivetrain, everything else except a few small items are up for sale. There is a first come, first serve on the parts listed here in this topic, I have a list made up. Will be putting up a list and pics soon. Let me know if you need anything.

  6. Can you send pics to [email protected] Will it drive onto a car hauler?

Don't know if it will drive, I started it up momentarly to see if the motor was alright. I'll have to get under there and take some pics to see if there's any damage to the drivetrain . The motor is shifted a little to the drivers side. Here are pics from the collision jard.

  7. It has all front end damage, front bumper/grille/hood, radiator, innercooler, lights and fenders are destroyed. The doors have damage on the edges where it meets the fenders The motor and drivetrain look good and the motor started right up. The interior is in good condition and the exterior has minor scratches in places. I can make a lot more parting it out but I would take $4,000 minus the seats. Pickup only near Philadelphia.

  8. Just a heads up guys, I will soon be parting out my total lossed baby. I let my buddy use it to go five minutes down the road and a drunk driver pulled out in front of him. Very good condition and well maintained before the crash. Only 60,000 miles, the front diff was rebuilt at 44,000 and used Mobil one for all oil changes. I'm probably going to keep the seats but everything else that is not damaged is up for sale. Any parts needed and offer?

I'll get some photos and prices together for you guys today or tomorrow.
