  1. I would love a plug in harness to hook up to replacement gauges. Whenever you figure it out. E-mail me send me the clear plexi covering the stock guages. I could pop that out in carbon fiber in a day. Check out these gauges http://www.livorsi.com/catalog/custom.htm or ultra lites would look pretty cool
  2. I have run 20+ bottles and have 60k on my truck. The stock tranny and engine have held up this far. This way to much towing have just about killed my stock block and tranny. They are still working and running, just starting to feel worn out.
  3. I went with earls lines and hawk pads. I blew threw the hawk pads pretty quick. I don't think they are that great. I am back to stock not a detectable difference. Plus they last longer. The stainless lines are nice. Unless you spend the cash for bigger brakes you still get the stock mush feeling.
  4. I want to drop in some gaffrig, livirorsi or nordskic gauges. They have gps speedo's. Some of them even made custom colors styles everything is changable. They also mount up to all the mercruiser stuff which is also gm fuel injected stuff. You can easily find any adapters. They are marine use but do not look like it if you do not use the bezels. A quick fab of a flat carbon fiber panel is kinda simple too. try this http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userp...1&page=GRID They have some sic carbon fiber. I have used it on prior project's with a west system hardener. They make a good uv protective hardener. You can play around with it. Them sand the hell out of it and use clear coat. Should you use autometer stuf the marine stuff hooks up to it as well.
  5. I am gonna contact both of those shops. Both have rock solid reps and are producing some good power. I am still in research mode. I want a daily driver so reliable and smooth are what I want. I would rather work with someone kinda close to me. Cali is a great place for me as it is not so far away. I am in Vegas now. I have a few questions. How streetable is a custom sheet metal intake with a 90mm or larger t-body. I am going to rossler the tranny. I am now thinking a lsx iron block they can hit 454 size with a nice high torque smooth flat power line. I want power under the line not a high rev motor.
  6. wcch has some cool stuff. The radix guys have to see that j-tube he has for them. That looks like a good place to call this week
  7. sooo many ways to go. The heart is set on a built 427 with sheet metal intake direct port nos. I am looking more into it. Why go fast and do a bunch of mods when you could get a full on custom intake. When you are finished all the work trying to fit a fast you should be in the same $$$ ball park. I think I am gonna leave the nos off this time around though.
  8. I am still shopping. I love the way a built up n/a motor sounds. I think you guys are onto something with the cammed radix. I could save some major cash. I have to replace my engine tranny soon. To much towing and way to many shots down the dragway with the nos. I am lucky to have 60k on a stock engine tranny this long.
  9. I have finally paid off the ss. Fixed everything to looking new again. I want to drop her off and pick her up with some major power. I have been thinking about going to http://www.lingenfelter.com/. They have a package, rebuild trans comparable to a flt or rossler drop in a nice healthy lsx block 7.0l with heads roller cam. They will install it tune it and most important warranty it for 3 years 36,000 miles. They are are gonna be in the 20-25k range plus 3k shipping back and fourth. My thinking is that in the long run this would be cheaper than going thu the learning curve and blowing stuff up in the process. I am in a toss up between going this route or ordering up a nice rossler tranny and trying to find a local or so-cal engine builder. What is the best set-up for a daily driver to hit 12's and last for a few years and miles before a rebuild. I want 100k rebuilds not 20 or 30??????
  10. I have used one for 2 ears with out problems. Try looking for livorsi sending units online. They come from the high performance marine world and are just higher quality autometer stuff. Good place for senders.
  11. Hid lighting is cheap now. Look on e-bay 175-150 shipped. The new gen 2 units are plug and play. Swap out bulbs, connect stock conector to ballast run a + - you are about done.
  12. I just got finished installing the ami tailgate handle on my ss. What junk. I am going back to stock. Handle bolts on with 1 6-32 screw on each side and is floppy and loose. I tried the top hole it would stick bottom hole you can see right tru it. http://www.autoanything.com/generic_pages/...3&p_id=2036 web site. I will try to post pics
  13. http://www.ptlv.com/ Looks like the spot. Know any tuners in the area???
