  1. Hi All. I havent been on here in a while but did want to say hi. This always has been my favorite site and it's really nice to see so many new names. I was thinking of selling the ss but it is paid off and with the markets down so bad I think I will stay where I am for now. It has still been my favorite vehicle. Still stock with tuning added and sway bars. Dailey driver with 60k. It has never let me down...EVER!
  2. Old post but mine is still going but low reserve time. I will need one soon. Deffinatly not makin another winter. 60k on it now.
  3. Great to see all of you there. Congrats on the wins.
  4. I found this on another site. A couple of the posts say this will work on ours. I still think a resistor put in place of the sensor would do the same thing. When I did this to a 99 s10 I had I removed the sensor and put a resistor in it's place. I found the resistance value by first measuring the resistance in the daylight as well as in the dark. The resistor just fooled the system into thinking it was daylight all the time. This only disabled the auto on. Dtr lamps still worked as normal. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/genera...ature-auto.html

  21. Hello All. I stumbled across something that may help somewhat with this chime. It doesn't get rid of it completly but you can mute it while washing or whatever when the doors are open. Did I get your attention? I found this on my 03 SS by accident but it may work on yours too. Say you want to listen to your factory stereo while the doors are open or you are using a vac and the annoying chime is driving you crazy, Do the following. While the ignition is in the accy position, turn your radio to a preset station of your choice. Whatever that preset number is, PRESS AND HOLD THIS NUMBER till it beeps twice. If it does not mute the chime press the same preset again and hold till the beeps are heard. Usually at the second time it will mute the chime. As long as the key stays in the accy position the chime will stay muted. I don't know if this will work on all radios but it worked on mine. I have the single disc/cassette with xm. I know it doesn't completly get rid of it, but it is alot easier to deal with when washing or anything that involves keys in and doors open. Let me know if this helps anyone.
