  1. I have a friend who is an orthopedic surgeon and worked LifeFlight for a while. She said she would get all the crazy, dumb sailors/marines (San Diego has lots) who would buy a new ZX11 or R1 and go drinking and driving. Of course, these guys would drive off a cliff or into an embankment and LifeFlight would fly them into her to be put back together. She regularly said, "Well, I don't know why I bothered working on that guy for 5 hours, he's only gonna die anyway, and if he does live, he's gonna wish he had died."
  2. I've heard they're cancelling Palm OS....
  3. Theoretically, whether you use keys or the adjustment bolts, if you adjust to the same ride height, the ride should be the same, since you are 'winding' or 'unwinding' the torsion bars to the exact same place.
  4. Updated tracking info via PayPal, let me know if you didn't get it.
  5. Should go out this afternoon....
  6. Curious, why the splitting hairs with 200 RPM? BTW, behind a Radixed application, the TT2600 should stall around 2800-3000. May want to ask Ben, I believe he has a TT2600, he could tell you what his stalled to when he had his Radix.
  7. Hope to see the belt soon as I had the eBay winning bid... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, not a bad price, eh? Should go out tomorrow.
  8. Someone's gotta have a scanner.

    OnStar

Even if you could physically do it (add all of the equipment, wiring, brains and computer interfaces, etc.), I'm not sure OnStar would allow registration of a vehicle that did not come with the system installed from the factory. You may want to call them directly before you start or try anything. Following up on Dylan's point, I'm not very impressed with OnStar. I forgot my cell phone yesterday and tried to call a friend I had to meet with my 30 free minutes, only to find out they had expired. They said they would add them back, but in the process they hung up on me. And didn't call me back, even though they have that capability. After a few hours I called them back and told them what I had been promised, and they said they would add the minutes again. And they hung up on me again. And didn't call me back again. Long story short, they do not impress me. Like too many companies, they focus on revenue more than service. They don't get that service turns into revenue - you need to do the first before you get the second. On the Avalanche site where I am still a member, lots of people let their subscriptions expire because of poor service and poor handling of customer requests. I'll probably do the same.
  10. There are a bunch of sand rail folks here in San Diego who go to Glamis...LS1's and the like....one guy I know tried an old Yamaha SHO Taurus engine (220HP stock) in his sand rail and liked it so much he snagged up three more 3.0L SHO engines to have as backups. Never been there or done that but it looks kind of interesting.
  11. Changed shipping from $7.50 to $5.00 on each of the belts.
  12. That is correct, that's the belt I purchased for the 3.0 pulley I was going to put on the Radix on my Avalanche. I actually have two of these belts for sale on EBay - one Gates and one Gatorback, if you're interested. The minimum bid is $10 (though no one has bid yet). The auctions end Sunday evening, so you if you bid you may end up getting a belt or two for cheap: Gates/Napa 6-rib belt, 111.5", P/N: 061115 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8056222447 Gatorback 6-rib belt, 111.5", P/N: 4061115 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8056223046
  13. Well, the auctions have started, so we'll have to wait 7 days to see what the parts will go for....but thanks very much for participating.
  14. B&M uses technology from the 80's, they may even be using the same components they used to use in their very old 700R4 kit. Transgo and Superior make much better shift kits.
  15. I also have a brand-new, never-been-installed Pulley Boys 3.1" Radix pulley (aluminum) that I will sell for $75 shipped. Their price is $95 + $6.50 = $101.50.
  16. Since I sold my Avalanche, don't have use for a lot of this stuff. All the items are on EBay auction, let me know if you have any questions. 17. Them's some big duckets....can't wait to see what they translate into...
  18. I followed all the rules, and I am wondering why my thread was deleted.
