  1. 2400 is not too much, but you might as well do the hardened input shaft and drum while your in there, and get a precision vigilante converter.I have the TBTC and have never had a problem with it (although I hear they are built by precision for gm),and consider it a great budget converter, but if I ever have any trouble with it I am going with a 3200 triple disc vigilante.a big aftermarket trans cooler is also a good idea, they are cheap and easy to install and are a great form of insurance.
  2. You need a better tuner, mine helped me pull my trans after he drove 4 hrs from his house as he was just stopping by cause he was in the neighborhood, and has never charged me more than 80 bucks fo an update no matter how long it took.
  3. There were 2 92's one was a 6 speed and I believe it went for 74,but the other was the big block 510,I think it went in the 40's,but I am quoting from memory so I might be wrong.
  4. He had the wrong vette, try it in the 1/4 with a zo6 and the gtr loses,I've got the magazine to prove it.
  5. As I have been watching the Barrett-Jackson auctions I have seen a bunch of the cars I always longed for while reading performance magazines get sold to collectors for a lot less than I thought they would go for-what timing 87 regal t type-16,500 88 Trans am kamback GTA-26,800 91 twin turbo trans am-43,000 92 Impala SS w/510ci FI big block-42,000 94 lingenfelter 383 firebird 60,000 All of these cars where in magazines that I have read and admired, along with a slew more yet to come this week. Now to see what the 93 ZL1 572 Camaro goes for,I better have my internet bid ready...........and divorce papers drawn
  6. That's hilarious,fake as hell,but hilarious!!!!!
  7. What he didn't say is they were racin in the snow! Honestly,no bolt on SSS's should beat a lightning, unless your bolting on nitrous or a blower,or it's in unideal conditions. I love my SSS and wouldn't trade it for a lightning any day,but they are usually a full second faster than most bolt on SSS's. I believe you won,but maybe this guy is a complete tool who can't drive or his truck isn't in prime condition. I just wouldnt go looking for them on a regular basis,it might not turn out the same. Good kill though

  10. Nice rig,I have always liked that hood,I know goodmark makes one like that, not sure if that's it though.
  11. It's the end of the world as we know it,and I feel fine! I have watched these shows, and though I am always skeptical about the apocolypse, these findings actually concern me.It's just wierd that so many of these things point to the same date.
  12. Cool vid, that thing is in dire need of some traction.Any times with it yet?
  13. How much for the bumper?I'm sure shipping will be expensive!!!!!
  14. Thats still quite a bit of spin!!!I think this is in the wrong section since your 2wd.
  15. Looks good quik, can't wait to see some strip results!!
  16. I have found and have beaten,so I guess that mens I can talk all the shiiit I want about it,Hopefully one of these 500 hp turds finds me on the street or strip so I can smoke their unexpecting arse, all the while enjoying my extended cab and all wheel drive while cranking "like a rock" with the windows down for all the rice lovers to hear.
  17. Well said ray,The hhr and cobalt are deserving candidate's,and both will smoke a stock SS sadly. If GM would have put as much effort into the silverado as they did he cobalt and HHR we would all have spent a lot less money on mods and wouldn't be chasing lightnings and srt-10's stock.
  18. Hopefully chris-fast4popper-will chime in,he is a fiberglass wizard,or so it seems!!
  19. NO traction here, but the timing on this is all wrong. Not really comfortable spending any cash right now,but these are definately high on my list of things to get next.
  20. WoW, he's faster than the waco kid in blazing saddles!!!
  21. 4" pipe is the same size as the stock throttle body.
