I have one of each. (5.3 1500 silverado, and the SSS) when they were both stock, the SS would kill the 5.3L. My 5.3 Silverado runs about a 16.5 when the ss ran a 15.1 stock.

thats great kevin! i can't wait to see that thing run in person. a friend of mine was there also there in a red C5 vette. running somewere around a 11.15 quarter mile. you may have seen it or at least heard it cause it's loud as hell.

There is a 2004 SSS for sale at a lot near by me (Dover, Pa) Black 20,000 miles Lowered Beefed up trans Aftermarket hood, Grille, Taillights 22" Black rims with 305-35-R22 Tires Dynatech headers and exhaust Tonneau cover and carparted bed liner. I know i'm missing a few things, the truck is very nice from what i've seen of it. I think he is asking 23,900 for it. If anyone wants any info on it, pm me and i'll get you the name and number of the car lot.

About a 2 hour drive. I have to think about that.

as of now i'm running stock 20" rims and tires running mid 12's, but i'm beginning to have major traction issues out of the hole. i'm actually looking into wheels and tires myself for the track, but not sure what i'm going to get yet
