ok all you gm and transmission guys. the dealer tells me there is a service bulliton out on this and it is normal. They say they have no fix for it. How can a noise that loud be normal? or are they just trying to screw me around untill the warranty runs out.

taking the amber out really wasn't that hard when i did mine. just take your time and remind yourself how good its gonna look and it goes pretty easy.

like the topic says i have been getting a real annoying clanking noise when the transmission shifts from 2nd to 3rd in my 04 silverado. its getting louder the more i drive it. anybody have heard or had experienced anything like this. i have 200 miles till 36,000, so im gonna call the dealer tomorrow and get it looked at before warranty runs out. i had it in about 6 weeks ago and they said they could not find anything.

i think dynomax has them too. there only around 35 bucks each

i was just at the dealer to get my 04 crew cab done, the service guy said they have some new thicker grease they put in. we'll see how it holds up. this is the second time its been done on my truck and only have 35,000 miles on it.

do u think that just 1 flowmaster one chamber dumped on a 4.8 silverado would sound about the same as 2 one chambers out the back? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it should sound about the same, but i don't think it will be as loud and sound quite as aggressive

i saw that before, that is 1 sweet video. give ya goose bumps every time you watch it.

i have the singles on mine, its just as loud as the straight pipe less some of the agressiveness you have. the drone was pretty bad inside the cab untill i put the headers on. its not quite as bad now with the headers on. the trucks loud as hell.

sounds like you need some forced induction. its pretty sweet when you can get these big things to smoke all 4

3" may be alittle much N/A. the very 1st thing i did to mine was a 3" dual setup and i lost a noticable amount of low end power.
