Well, SINCE you ask... Now that I realize how important the front bumpstops are (the truck is unsettled and floating around at any speed above 85-mph) I've been trying to think of a way to correct the problem. The frame floats, but only *so* far as it finally contacts the remaining bumpstops after a few degrees of motion. My initial thought was it would be great to pocket the bumpstops into the frame in such a way as to match the 2.5" drop; of course I was dreaming (I'm not cutting my frame). But then last night the answer hit me - rather than cutting/shortening the bumpstops when lowering an SS use a 1/4" drill and strategically put holes into the damper to weaken it and allow it to collapse at a faster rate near its tip - let the frame ride on the rubber dampers, but weaken the cellulose at the tip so that it still progressively loads when the frame attempts to move... Mr. P. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that may work out ok, i also thought about cuttin one nub off the back end of the bump stop but that is basically the same thing as what we have already done.

your going to need a lil bit, id sawy about 3- 4 ounces of each which is almost a whole bottle of zfx concentrate, depending if your good friends or your trying to make some money for your time, i would say at least $100 bucks, your going to need about 30-40 worth of zaino just to get it done!

beltech also has a kit with spindles, shims will help it just depends on what results you get.

why was the cop an douch weasel? i mean it doesent sound like he was a bad cop just doing his job! i know i get pissed when i get a ticket but its usually something you could have prevented. im not taking his side, i just think it could have been alot worse and 74 bucks isnt the end of the world. if your tint is illeagle then he had a right to site you. i agree with mr p, i try and be nice as possible but i sometimes get pissed and its very hard to control. IMO.
