DAYM!!!! very clean bro! I like the idea of the shaved mirrors, ya just gonna have to be extra cautious when switching lanes eh? The huge pipe kinda throws things off for me because it kinda takes up a lot of the opening of the hood but nevertheless, everything is SICK!

Looks good bro. Is that your garage?! that thing is huge!!!!

I thought i replied to this post yesterday but apparently didn't. For those who can wait for a group buy on the Z06 Calipers, I have gotten a hold of a guy who's willing to do one but needs all orders put in before he starts charging cards and sending them out. Here's what I posted in the previous thread:
I don't know if you started gathering info on the C6 Z06 front calipers but just thought I'd try to see if I could be of any help. I emailed a few people about somewhat of a group buy for 10 sets of calipers and so far this is the best I've gotten:If 10 sets are ordered, price would be $475 + $15 for shipping bringing the total to $490 Shipped.
They are for a set of brand new OEM GM C6 Z06 front Calipers only.
The guy said the price is only good over the phone with a MC/Visa and would prefer one transaction, and if that's not possible, he would have to wait till he actually get all 10 orders in before he could send any out.
He also said he'd do $475 for the rears if anyone was interested and could probably combine shipping for discount.
I am aware that there are better deals out there for individual buys every now and then. This is just the best deal we have found as far as solid group buys go. Just to clarify for those of you who have messaged me and also for future ones, I am not the one selling them. I am simply just calling around to find the best deal for us. When enough interest is shown (10 members), I'll let the guy know and he will decide what to do as far as contact and transactions go.

Nope he is back. Flight was delayed due to bad weather in PA, so he says. Might have a small run if all goes well by next week as long as the boss man doesn't kick us off the machine to use it for "a real job."
Nice, Just got my new wheels and my rusted tiny rotors and calipers are beggin to be replaced haha. Lookin forward to any updates!

Looks good bro. Just curious, why are you getting the bed cladding painted?
-
-
You're gonna need to use an interface if you want to keep the stock look
-
Just thought I'd check in since its been a week since the last post in here. Any progress bro or is the operator still mia? haha

Would a high offset wheel have problems clearing these brakes? Say, a +35mm?
-
Nice group of cars, even nicer wheel/brake setup! You just convinced me to definitely go with the z06

Actually the shackles where $29 ...kinda cheap...but they looked powdercoated and had a urethane bushing,,,I saw the at a local Auto Zone store...I think it might be worth a try...bit then again, I dont need something to fail on me at the worst time...I probably will pay a few bucks more to get a Bell Tech or similar part...My drop will be just an inch in the back and an inch on the front..
I must be talking about a different set then haha. Just letting you know, belltech shackles are not adjustable and they are said to only be used in the 2 inch drop setting. Apparently they left the other hole there just for looks
-
daym that sucks bob! if it makes you feel any better, i pay 2.53 for 90 octane haha.
g'luck with everything.
-
yeah do it right the first time and get the hangers. Chase covered it all. Its not the hardest thing to do, just a hassle dealing with the rivets if you don't have a torch or cut off wheel. G'luck
-
are you talking about the 4x4 suspension company? If so, are they for lifted trucks? I mean, I know it says superior drop shackles and all, but I'm kinda iffy about that. Plus they're expensive as hell
-
ah i know the secret then haha but ok i shall keep it a secret!
-
Yeah pretty sure you probably have shackles rights now and not hangers. I don't know anyone in their right mind who would go through the hassle of installing hangers over shackles just for a 2" drop... but there are some crazy people out there, no offense if you went this route haha. But if you did, the hard part is already over

daym those are nice! are those the 15" baer rotors? can't wait to do mine
-
he said it was the billet n20 brackets fellas! haha. Yeah I noticed he wasn't wearing a mask either, must be water based or he must be crazy!
Looking great bro, i think i see the gas filler in the tail light eh? Are you using a bear claw latch for it?
-
oh baby baby i love me some twins! they look great bro!
-
yep all 4! If i wasn't doing the 15" ones I'd be all over this! Someone pick it up quick
-
Looking really good man, we seem to have almost very similar taste and ideas. Main difference is you're actually putting those ideas to use hahaha. If i wasn't so busy.. oh yeah and broke... can't wait to see the updates!

Sounds like a deal to me! keep us posted on the banjo bolts and crush washers as well. It would be great if we could get most of the parts at one time. So the source of rotors will be Ray as always, and you will provide the brackets, and if the deal falls through, F&R Calipers and possibly the banjo bolts and crush washers. That should save us a lot on shipping haha.
When everything is sorted through, count me in for a belltech spindle set and everything else needed for the front and the rear setup.
If/when you get the rear brackets, will the work with 15" rotors?
Again, thanks for all your time and effort
