Just a quick note to let the old timers here know that I got married finally! Yesterday Oct. 14th here in beautiful Kaua'i on the eastside Lydgate Beach. Sara and I have been engaged for sometime now, and have planned the wedding 3 times with somthing always comin up that interferes. We said screw it and did all the planning and prep in about 2-3 weeks prior to our already planned family vacation. She looked so beautiful, I wasnt even nervous... well... I would love to have pictures to show everyone but I wont until we get home next week as the damn laptop wouldnt hookup to the wifi so we're on slow ass dialup. and the HD pics are a no no on that. so, talk to ya all later ~Brian UPDATE: Picture time! more pics post #10 background; my son is 8 and he was the ring bearer, our daughter is 2 and wanted mama to hold her, and our 3rd is due Feb 1st '09... i guess i shouldve elaborated some more... only 46k miles and FI with the M90 maggie for the last 15k or less. I will not be putting the blower back on so I guess replacement pistons with a vavle job and P&P on the heads would work. from what I'm reading the Comp 212/218 on 114lsa is a decent truck/suv upgrade cam. I'm installing a TBTC and it has TOG LT's already. Just trying to have a healthy NA engine.

Last night I pulled the motor out of my caddy hoping to do a ring job and put it back together... THIS is not the case now my question is what is the most cost effect replacment for the pistons? on a tight budget but am open to all idea's if its enough benifit! ...also, since I'm replacing the pistons would it work to run a dished piston with the stage 2.5 5.3l (milled to 58cc) heads I have that are fully built with a 212/218-ish comp cam on 114 lsa? where do i go from here? 6 of 8 pistons have major chunks burnt away (i'm guessing this was a tuning problem?) someone stole my engine!?!?!? ~Brian

it is from an ss although that doesn't matter. by not perfect I mean its 4 years old and has 30k miles on it from a truck I parted out a long time ago. its not dented or damaged like that but i'm sure it must have a scratch or something. its been along time since I even looked at it. you can paypal the $150 to [email protected] and then we can work out the shipping costs, if they're horribly expensive I can even help pay for some. let me know man thanks Brian

yeah, i checked it first thing... was bout 3/4 quart low... its good now. its due for an oil change, maybe I'll try the atf trick. its strange how it'll act just fine one second and not the next. never seen anything like it

'99 GMC sierra 4x4 with a ton(200k+) of highway miles... engine has never been apart. its hit or miss whether it will have oil pressure or not, take it for a drive and it'll have 35-45 #'s and the engine is super quiet. Next time you drive it, its got 0-15 #'s with some valvetrain noise... what the hell, how is it so erratic? I thought you either had oil pressure or you didnt... do oil pumps go out like this? thanks Brian
