Going for a ride...and then seeing shine slung all over the sides of my truck... I really dont care about gloss level ...but I would like it to last if that is possible... Hello 'evil' SS minions! LMAO I will be out there too! I will probably try to get out before the weekend for better driving...Friday Saturday And Sunday are generally better days to park (generally up to 1/4 mile away sometimes) and walk to Woodward...and then ogle ... And I am pretty sure the police shut down Woodward early every night ...Just thought I would let you out of towners know to get there as early as possible... I am pretty sure they have a Woodward Dream Cruise web site also... I have a c.b. in my truck... 'old school'...LOL...usually keep it on channel 19... Hope to see some of you down there! boB P.S. My truck is 'black' with an intimidator spoiler...'Shopman' SS bowtie My plate... Hey ssser's... was wondering how far down I can turn my stock front suspension and still keep it within specs...and where do we measure from...just asking cause i am due for an alignment, and want to crank her down cause it seems that the front has always been higher... THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Bryan took good care of me also...I am lightly modded...but my truck runs as good as I expect it to...I kept the stock p.c.m just in case I needed it for warrantee issues and emissions testing down the road...

I WAS going to lower my truck...until I read about the headaches involved...especially gets my attention when the 'heavy hitters' have problems...

I am 80% sure I am going... I may have mandatory overtime at the GM plant where I work

Hey sser's! My truck has a modded pcm and has been running great...but lately I get codes every week or so P0141 and p0161 Should I get sims? Should I replace the stockers? what do the rear sensors do? Should we replace the fronts regularly, like every 50k? What are the advantages to each way? TIA

geeze!!!...Read the endless listings brother...and race anyways in a safe manner drag strip)..it is fun no matter what...No police, speed limits, cars pulling out in front of you...the guy you are racing is 'unarmed' and sober/safe..The track is soooo much better ...I don't know why anyone would race on the street sometimes...and you probably could bring a few friends in the back seat to enjoy the show...J/K I like endlessly taunting other truck guys!...That is half the fun ...

I personally have a OUTLAW ...and a modified stock c.a.i. ...I will be testing both...and adding a ram air tube to both in the coming weeks (if the overtime stops!!! LOL)...I will try almost every variation, i.e. tube on/tube off, sheetmetal on/off, different launch technique etc...stay tuned..anyone in metro Detroit want to join me at Milan or Ubly?...Saturday is test and tune day...might even go to Milan during the week after work around 4 or 5 pm...

I run mobil 1 synthetic in all of my stuff...lawnmower, snowblower, car, truck etc...only reason I picked mobil is that I mainly run thier fuel...and if i am on a trip and need to top off (never have! LOL) it is easy to get mobil at any gas dtation in the usa...just my .02...

Mine has it's 'tongue hanging out' at about 127 or so...lightly modded...anyone else???

might sound ridiculous but...did you check the settings on your digital climate control for both sides?...maybe the cable fell off of the passenger side temp control? just my .02... good luck

just bought some AC iridium spark plugs for my SS..They had no listing for my 2004 at murrays...but had a part # for 2003...So I bought them Will they be ok? Or did they change plugs from 03 to 04? Lemme know...I loved my RAPIDFIRE plugs, I used to work at the plant in Flint that made them..So i figured the iridium plugs should be ok... But I won't install them until I get a GM tech to so it will be ok... Thanks in advance boB

I am from detroit also...I ended up installing an OUTLAW cai in my truck after i did the mods similar to yours...I think there was a benefit to the OUTLAW...The tube going from the air box to the throttle body is smoother and bigger...i will be doing some testing of BOTH systems at the track in Ubly or Milan...They ususlly have a test and tune session every Saturday...If you would like to meet that would be great! boB

IMHO...You should do a search and read Mr. P's post on lowering...He spent the time and it lists the pluses and disadvantages of all lowering scenarios...Might save you some money and time...

I called OUTLAW Saturday and talked to one of their engineers for 20 minutes or so... In a nutshell, he told me cutting the 'excess' sheetmetal on the right inner fender would probably yeild no extra performance...He said they have no way to prove it would gain anything on a naturally aspirated motor...And our motors cant really flow more air than the CAI can already...I appreciated his honesty...I also asked about adding a 'ram air tube'...Same answer...no dyno results to prove anything...In fact he asked me to get back to him when I check this tube out at the track later this month...I will make several runs with and without the tube...and get back to all of you with my results...

Hello fellow ssers'! I installed my Outlaw CAI not too long ago and I am wondering if I should remove the 'extra' sheet metal on the right fender...Seeing as the factory only left 2 slots, would this improve my h.p?...or is the intake duct drawing air from the bottom good enough?...Or will I just make more noise?...Does anyone have the tech line number from Outlaw?...Tried to look it up, can't find it... I think too much!!! LOL Thanks in advance! boB (i spell it backwards!!! LOL)
