  1. Yes it is currently being stored in one of our buildings waiting for a new T-56 from a Viper because we can't get the G-froce to hold the power.
  2. Hello to everyone, I know it has been a long time since I have posted or even been by the site. I have been very busy at work with this project working most days 5:30am to 5:00pm, but we now have the worlds first diesel truck to run in the 7's. Burnout
  3. Wow thats pretty bad ass. It looks like an S-10. am I correct? Is it a factory truck that has been modified or is it a full tube chassis truck? We have a full tube chassis pro stock S-10 with a 1050hp Duramax diesel in it and were hoping to get it into the 7's next weekend. I know it's no 6.90 but it's not a gas engine either. Our next "full race" engine should put it into the mid to low 7's. I'd like to see some more pics of this truck.
  4. Yeah but thats a completely different class of truck. Our Dakota weights over 5k and isn't built to drag race it's made for top speed and thats it. Our drag truck weighs right around 2700lbs. We already have the gearing worked out in the truck just before we went to Vegas, now we just have to dial in the chassis and make a few other changes. Once we can get it to hook up we shal be in the 7's easily. Once were done with our actual drag engine I think the plan with this one is to put it in one of our street trucks.
  5. Correct, Dr Performance used to hold the record for the worlds fastest diesel truck at 8.31 and we first took it with an 8.30 then backed it with and 8.22 and then an 8.21 and the best part is they were there in Vegas to watch us take it from them. Dr Performance's truck smokes like a train and we are thinking they blew their engine on their second run because they blew flames out their exhaust which is not possible with a diesel unless you run propane which they said they weren't but that they decided to stop running their truck after that run.
  6. No sorry it's not the same truck that was one of our 90's 454 trucks that we were gonna do that to but havn't gotten to doing it yet. This is a Don Ness chassis that was built back when they used to run the prostock trucks This is an old Pinella truck and only has a few passes on it before we purchased it. BTW we just took the record for the worlds fastest full bodied diesel truck. Our next goal is to take the worlds fastest diesel period!
  7. Thanks man! BTW it currently looks as if it's the fastest D-Max in the world.
  8. The truck is running a bruno with a liberty 5 speed behind it.
  9. Oh yeah BTW anyone in the Vegas area who can make it to the races this week feel free to go stop by and say hi. We will be finishing up some changes to the truck tomorrow morning and heading out to the vegas drag strip for the rest of the week. We are hoping for very very low 8's maybe even into the 7's. This truck has a lot left in it and we plan to show it even though we are entered in super gas which is a 9.90 class. We don't care we are going to throw the race by running to fast just to prove how fast this thing will/can go and this is only the beginning since we already have the next engine on it's way together with custom forged pistons which should allow us to spin over 6k.
  10. HAha well it looks like were stiring up some sh!t in the diesel industry. Please post up some links if you guys see anything else around Thedieselplace.com
  11. Yup LOL were just getting started. Oh and wait I wanna see someone post vid of another drag truck running similar times with nearly no smoke.
  12. 150 MPH and we are keeping the redline at about 4800 because with the stock pistons we currently have in it the engine will destroy itself at around 5100 rpm. The last engine we had on the dyno we kept creeping up in rpm and we were told by the piston maufacturer that the pistons will come apart between 5100 and 5200 rpm. Well they came apart right at 5150.
  13. Here is our best run I split this from the burnout to the run because I didn't wan't the file to be too large to post and still beable to keep the quality. Burnout vid Run vid
  14. Sorry man as of now we have one.
  15. Wow an LB7 yes we do have product for them tested and proven but man the d-max has come a long ways since the first being an LB7 I could name many different things between them and the new LBZ/LMM. I'm not saying it's a bad version in anyway I am just shocked because we have moved forward everytime GM releases a new d-max. The biggest thing they could improve on next is lifter weight and piston/rod weight. They would then have a very solid high HP stock diesel engine.
  16. Well I spent all week building a d-max for R&D for our drag truck to find out Gale wants to put it in our drag truck. This engine isn't built with our full race parts but he wants to see what we can do with what we have here and now which isn't much more than a stock engine. We have forged rods and an LSM cam/lifters and our modified stock pistons. I just got a text message from my boss who is doing the tuning and he said we made 1045hp and 1244ft lbs. Needless to say the engine comes off the dyno tomorrow and goes in the truck! We should soon have some #'s!!!
  17. I would just use stainless ARP bolts they probably have a kit for it. BTW your sig pic is too large so it has been removed.
  18. WTF??? I thought Eddie Bauer only did Fords.
  19. Yeah or so damn expensive
  20. You only "need" a rifled barrel if you don't use rifled slugs. I shoot rifled slugs out of mine all the time and have no issues at all and absolutly no damage to the barrel. The main reason home defence guns have a short barrel is to make them lighter and easier to manuver the spread isn't gonna matter much when your shooting at someone across the room or down a hallway because you gonna hit them and if you don't you were probably facing the wrong way. I wouldn't use slugs for home defense because you will probably mis since it recoils much harder than anything else.
  21. Ill get some when I get home tonight.
