  1. Yup i'd like to know if anyone else has recieved an e-mail from McGaughys??? If so please don't be afraid to post it!
  2. I'm not worried because I know there is nothing he can do and I have pictures to back up my claims he can try all he want's but he will then have to go after everyone who has spoken negative about his product. I just find it funny that he is so worried that he states that he will sue. Thats very childish IMO. Now you can see what kind of customer service you will recieve when you contact their company.
  3. He can try and take legal action on those who "coppied" his "prized design" there is nothing he can do to people who talk about it I mean get real dude! You mean i'm gonna get sued from every auto maker who I have talked about because something has gone wrong and I stated facts? I still see the "others" selling these "coppied" spindles. His attorneys must have lied to him or something.
  4. Yeah he's full of it even those who have gone just 2" with the spindles have vibration issues and they are obviously from the rear.
  5. BTW thier statement about the jam nut that only has 4 threads is BS I have fullsize lock nuts on my balljoints I never recieved a 1/4" jam nut.
  6. This is an e-mail I recieved today from McGaughys. I guess their feelings are hurt because they have competition now My reply Have you ever heard of freedom of speech? First of all the little bump you are talking about is not all that was needed to be modified because I already knew about that. The problem I had with your spindle and the bigger brake package was that you guys had changed the distance from where the caliper mounts to where the hub itself mounts. Your spindles were off by about .070" from what the factory spindles where. This caused the caliper bracket to run into the rotor and at that point you were unable to tighten the caliper down the rest of the way because it still needed to go like another .050" to seat the caliper. I don't see how you get off telling people to mind their own business??? Especially when you state that Bell Techs spindles spindles are 2" taller. If this is the case then no they did not copy your "spectacular design". Bell Techs casting design isn't even close to being the same as yours, infact I lost turning radius when I installed your spindles. I did not lose any of that with Bell Techs spindles and my calipers sat straight and centered over my rotors. I don't really care if your upset because you no longer have a monopoly on the late model 1/2 ton pickups. GET OVER IT! SIGNED JON
  7. Holly crap there is a bumper on that thing!!!
  8. If he did that they would likely laugh at him. The general isn't going to pay a non dealer to install aftermarket parts into the trans. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WTF are you thinking??? The best bet you would have is getting in good with a dealer or if you know someon at a dealer and pay for the parts and have the dealer install the parts.
  9. I dunno what these purple keys are your talking about but you will probably have to drop the tank to to the leafs you may beable to just remove the straps and move it to the side.
  10. Way too much for what I accomplished. LOL all together I would have to take a rough guess at $500
  11. I don;t think he is talking about the plastic which is only the inner half of the wheel well. The outer half is sheetmetal and it's part of the fender and can't be unbolted it has to be cut out. It's a PITA because there are a few layers you have to get through to get it out.
  12. Do you know if this happened before you installed all the sterio equipment? My 04 SS had done similar things and I never messed with the electronics in it. My dads 04 also had major wireing issues and it was bone stock.
  13. OMFG thats the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Someone needs to be shot. Atleast he doesn't need to worry about it getting stolen.
  14. Yup it works now! For the rest asking about the low miles... JPcustoms doesn't offer reprogramming they just end you a sticker to place on the door jam which you write your current mileage on then just add what is currently on your odometer to what is on the sticker.
  15. I remember going up there years go when I was young to the Sequoias (sp)? There was one which had fallen over and the center of it was hallow and you could walk threw it and not touch the top thats how big in diameter it was. If I remember right it was the largest tree in the world. WAS...
  16. Meaning the second pic? I have no clue why it turned out so damn big I tired it twice on photobucket because it should be the same as the first.
  17. USspeedo face and JPCustoms escalade cluster. The red is much more red in person I just couldn't get it to show very well in the pics.
  18. Sh*t, people are already getting caught siphoning gas! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Scew that and screw robbing a bank.... Next time I see a tanker truck on the freeway i'm gonna car jack it Then I will fill all the 55 gallon drums we have at work with it and take them home then have free gas for a month or so.
  19. It's a 24valve so yeah 4valves pr cylinder this is a stock block, crank, rods and pistons which have all been lightened and balanced. The head has had major porting and polishing done to it with a fabricated exhaust manifold and the stock intake has been cut off the head and the head has been machined flat and we bolted our own intake casting to the head. I don't really have any good pics of it myself but here are some I pulled off our website. The new intake Fabricated exhaust manifold Here is a pic I found from power tour
  20. We have a fullsize dodge 4x4 at work which has run in the Baja 1000. We recently put the cummins that was in our Dakota in this truck and plumed nitrous and propane into it... Just getting started on the dyno and we are making 690hp at the rear wheels and over 1200ftlbs of torque.
  21. After market keys will give you about an inch of drop without even messing with the adjustment there for you would actually have more adjustment left. You can give it a shot but don't forget to cut a ring/nub off of the front bumpstops other wise it will ride hard. They cut easy with a hacksaw blade, sawzall,or razor knife.
