  1. There is nothing in the VIN thiat id's it as a Judge. If the first three of the VIN are 242 then it's a true GTO. If all the hardware is there, RA induction, spoiler, stripes, ect then more than likely it is. Or contact PHS (Pontiac Historical Services), and they can give you a full breakdown.
  2. Very cool, Steve. My wife is on a teacher training camp at a coal mine/power plant in Longview. She sent me a picture of her standing next to one of those tires.
  3. It could probably be done, but it will be tough without going further in to the engine. Black soaks up too much heat from the sun. Makes it heavier.
  4. Comments like the one that he made is not something a mod should have done, imo. Mod/admin should be held to a higher standard, and yes I am one on another forum, and have been for several years. It was kind of a slap to the face to alot of us that have been here for quite some time. I also offered up my services before they had people "apply", but got no response. Any mod who would call someone a child, or a bitch, and engage in that kind of behvior/banter should be stripped of their mod rights. Like I said above, mods need to be held to a higher standard. You are essentially the police of the board.
  5. Good question. I don't know. Seriously, start by taking measurments of the bolt pattern of the mounting points, and see if they match to what he wants. I can't imagine they changed the floors that much. On my old 91 I went from bench to buckets, and all the holes were there for the bucket seats. They were just packed with a sealer so they wouldn't leak, but no drilling required.
  6. We've noticed that, too. I bet it will get worse before it gets better. When I first started in this business at a Ford dealer we used to have to pick up our daily orders at the PDC in Carrollton. I wish GM would let us do that.
  7. That's been happening alot more, too.
  8. The thing is that if someone calls mid to late afternoon you could order from GM, and have it mid morning at the latest. Saving the 15% from buying it from another dealer. We're close to the Ft.Worth PDC (041 for you GM guys ), and our cutoff times were 6:PM for next day. Now it's 4:PM, and we never know when they'll show up. I guess we'll just have to get used to it, but don't have to like it. Dan, I know what you're saying about forging relationships with people. I'm betting the powers that be didn't think about this when they decided to close dealers. Customers are not brand loyal as much as the are to people that treat them right.
  9. We used to get our deliveries between 8-10:AM, but with all this BS here lately they have changed routes/drivers we never know when we're going to get our stuff. Last night we got our order about 10 minutes before closing. Very frustrating. Any other parts guys having these issues?
  10. Ricer?! Those are some MONSTER boost numbers. That's a killer setup, Chase.
  11. You could do Vortec heads on a TBI block with a TBI intake to fit the heads. Or a Vortec long block with a TBI intake. It's suppose to be a big improvement over a stock TBI engine.
  12. It wont run right painted any color other than Chevy orange. Seriously though, looks good. I like that color blue. Makes me wish I still had my old Goat.
  13. It's a touch much, imo. Whoever did the work did a good job, just not for me. Btw, I went to school with guys like that, and when mommy and daddy cut the strings they were clueless. Most of them now are in debt up to their eyeballs with no clue how to get out, or dead broke.
  14. I haven't driven one, but the specs I've read are about that. I would think it should be an easy mid to high 12 car without too much trouble.
  15. I hate dealing with aftermarket warranty companies. They are the biggest freakin' rip off.
  16. 42. 30 was about the time my hair started really turning gray, so consequently they bothered me less.
  17. $2.49, $2.54, $2.79 at my normal stop this morning. I kind of figured prices would rise with the summer travel season.
  18. That's the nice thing about getting older. I used to get pulled over in my younger days. Young kid driving a hot rod is a cop magnet.
  19. Dylan, I've been pretty sold on Zaino. It puts a kick ass shine on, but it doesn't seem to last. Can any sealants/waxes be used on top of that to get good protection?
  20. It was an option for the Yukon.
